AlexB: Tube Magnetic Saturator (it replaces older DTE)

Post by AlexB » Thu Dec 07, 2017 3:13 am

Hello, the Tube Magentic Saturator library released !!!

TMS

Tube Magnetic Saturator is a homemade hardware piece that I built some years ago. It includes a vintage magnetic-tape head circuit followed by a modern class A tube preamp with 6 valves working at high voltage: 300V. The magnetic-head is digitally controlled to emulate, in analog domain, different speeds while a discrete solid state preamp drives the signal to saturate it.

. High Quality programs with full dynamics and harmonic content
. Special light edition "le" combo program (CPU friendly)
. Full emulation by using two preset: Magnetic Head + Line Amp.
. Real "Saturation" and "Tape" controls
. Tape speed continuous control from 7.5 to 30ips allowing you to express all your creativity
. Line amp. with 6 NOS Tubes
. Drive control allows to set the sound from clean to fat
. Special NEW AlexB skins for Nebula 3 and Nebula4!

Please, check the website and download the user manual, try the Demo, it has the same audio quality and performance of the commercial release but with some restrictions.

If you have the old DTE you can update at this last release with only 8,00EUR by sending an email request.

Caught Alex while he was sending out emails and snagged this. Always loved the old DTE, quick tests are making me smile each time 8-)

Hi Alex,

will there be skins for "older" nebula emulations?
I own a few of your wonderful emulations. But to be honest (using nebula 4) the oldfashiond skin is not very funny to work with.
Or are there skins out for your emulations?

Best regards
Flohre

It's Alex's usual; a total re-sampling of the old product with new converters/better techniques/etc. The skin is a nice bonus. And yes, there is a skin for N3 as well as N4. So, it sounds better and looks better too!

I like this sound.Especially using Magnetic Head around 10ips makes thin track into fat and thick. It is very welcome to cold digital synth music world :D

This thing does what I've been looking for something to do to the high frequencies.

Inexplicably magnetized and rolled off in the most pleasing way.

Very nice.
