Hi Tim!
Does it make sense to reduce dsp buffer of nebula with your compressors libraries, while they already have a little RTE ( 0.045 ms). Or like you sad before, comps programs configured for a specific buffer, because of EVF? And if so, what the best of it, 512?

hi

No need to touch the buffer. Going to low can truncate kernals on eq's and reverbs. On comps the buffer won't effect cpu that much as it's timed. It does however change the gui behavior.

cheers

Hi Tim! Thanks for clarifying)
This applies only to your libs or all 3d party devs?

And, please, remind me which buffer is default?

Hi Tim,
The LBUS based on 384 D*x VCA engine or the new THAT VCA X-Logic?
Thank's)

my comps aren't affected that much by changing it, except change the speed of meters. Best just keep it at 1024 or 512 in general.

Remember you need bigger buffers for longer kernals like reverbs etc , not only does it lower cpu but can stop truncating the tails.

The comp is THAT chip

Ok, understand) Thank's, Tim!

And last final question.

The new and old Lbus have different frequency response and dynamic behavior.

Look 17.10.2017 ver.

and 09.12.2017 ver.

That 5 hertz low bump in the new one, creates a DC Offset.
Is that normal or a bug?

Also because of this bump, Lbus sounds a bit aggressively, in comparison with others G bus comps.
But yours, sound and behaves most closely to the hardware and it would be nice to know is that bug or feature of the sampling unit?

Thank you!

Its saturation from the kernals in the lows. This is why it will offset, in other words a even harmonic. I will look again but I think it should be more accurate

and the old version was not saturation in the lows?

Tim, please look at the waveform distortion caused by DC offset (Dynamic section of PluginDoctor screenshots) in Shibata's post.
I suppose it's not a nominal behavior of comp's pre.

Well It's showing the kernals are producing low frequency Harmonics yes to get more detail in the 10-20hz region we need to have a kernal length of at least 100ms (100ms is roughly 10hz) but if it rings lots we must go higher, if you pull down the drive you should see it change. Note that In general I solved a few issues of harmonics general, notice the lack of spikes on pre which is very common, I called this chirping. Note the change between old and new was I had to find a better way to produce harmonics On a stereo bus, this is why you see the change on the dynamic side, in other words for it's application I needed to do it this way, earlier on in the thread you'll see discussion about this. You'll see that 1102 is different from this. Also I found a better way to stop truncation Of kernals on harmonics, this is why you see the the bigger low end. L-bus was set up this way for a driven sound after compression. If you think it sounds to hot just reduce the drive. If you look in take reduce the amount of kernals in l-bus down to H1 and H2 you should notice the the H2 is where the offset comes from.

Thanks for the exhaustive answer, Tim! Yes, decrease of the Drive, helps a lot.

Hi Tim!
Just tried today SC programs. Created a send from the kick to the bass track, with audio set 1/2 -> 3/4 in Reaper.
Acqua comps works fine with SC knob engaged and AlexB SC programs also works properly. But all youre comps SC presets works like regular comp preset.
Is there some special tweaks to them needed?
