Guys, the 9kc panner 44 seems to have more than 4.5 db pan law as it is written in the manual. 96 preset works fine.

CONFIRMED. The 9k Panner Preset drops output level -7 dB. [44.1k]

Checking most other console panners look correct.

Waiting to hear from AlexB.

Another potential bug: at 48k, on M. BUS CLEAN, I get the left channel being .1 dB hotter than the right. Anyone else?

+1
This is true and could be the case with the actual console sampled. However, it's kind of annoying, LOL.

Hi Alex, sorry if that's not the right place to ask this but do you have sampling a MC* JH 500 series in your plans?
I know there's some libraries that has those preamps, but it would be wonderful to have the whole mixer (EQ included)

Thanks for your time!

So, who bought the 9KeQ. How it in work? I'm going to buy it as the main mixing eq, to complement 9kc console. The demo is nice, but I doubt how it will be.

Hi Shibata. My personal ... When I buy a Console, I want the full package, that include EQs and Dynamics.

In my line of Mastering work, the Consoles have a higher percentage of being used. Depending on the Project, I've utilized a dual Console signal flow.
I've also used the 9KeQ equalizers. They are very flexible, bring their character and expected sound.

In practice, I may only use a single Band or two. This is due to other factors. The wide range of choices [Acquas, N-4s] we have. Also to the fact that many of my Projects need EQs with subtle, transparent character [Azure-HQ, Bronze-eq, etc]. I'm also very selective on the use of included PreAmp, meaning I run many EQ's with their Preamp OFF [clean PreSet]. All Project dependant.

Whether helpful ... that's my approach.

AlexB
Bought 9Keq and found that all band's except for filters have a default boost frequency response which was not in old version of MLeq.
Use the build advice from the manual:
To emulate the original unit sound you should use both presets HQ and LE by mixing them in this way:
on a single track when a single equalization band only is required you should use the HQ preset, when you need
more than one band of equalization you should use the LE presets and as last band the HQ. This interaction
gives the right color and harmonic contents. However if you want more color and saturation you can use more
HQ bands at your taste.

And to recreate the order band's like in HW setup to:
HPF le
LPF le
Low Shelf le
220-680Hz le
680-2200Hz le
2.2-7kHz le
High Shelf HQ

And get the total sum like this, with quite audible boost in low-low-mid frequency.

The same setup with MLeq.

So is that normal for this eq or is it a bug?
Quite annoying to work with such over boost with mixing eq at all tracks.

It's not a bug but the hardware sampled. You not need to stack all bands, use only what you need to use.

Thanks

But in MLeq which was exactly the same Eq, there is no such boost.

Well, i just need all these bands on every track, like in regular X-rack.

Do you REALLY use ALL bands in every track ???!!!

It isn't the same eQ. Different console and every channel has a different fingerprint.
Sorry, I can't do nothing at the moment.
