Re: U76 v3 released
I'm working to find the issue with the poster above.
Re: U76 v3 released
I think its time to make CPU optimization for U76 like in L-bus.
Re: U76 v3 released
It looks like we found the issue. It had to do with how my buffer size was handling kernel lengths. If your buffer is really high, try lowering it to 512 and see if the artifact goes away. (512 is the lowest you can go to cover the kernel lengths in this program.)leckel1996 wrote:I'm experiencing the same thing. I've made sure my gain staging is fine, so it can't be that. It seems to be OK when I turn the drive all the way down, but I'm not entirely convinced it's gone (I'll have to do some further testing to make sure).
Re: U76 v3 released
I'm having a jumpy&moving reduction meter on the v3 on Nebula4.
My GUI-rate is set to 7100. tried higher and lower values but still the reduction meter is moving even when no signal is coming in.
I remember someone else having this issue and Tim had a solution for it, but I could not find it yet.
Can anyone help me get my reduction meter in U76v3 to be still when no signal is coming in?
Thanks for any hints

Re: U76 v3 released
It's a Nebula bug. I emailed support about it a few months ago and they said they will have the GR needle movement fixed in Q1 of 2018.. of which there are only a few days left haha. Maybe it's fixed in the big new N4 update? I haven't got round to updating it yet.
Re: U76 v3 released
The meters seem pretty good in the update. Think this issue has been fixed...........
Re: U76 v3 released
uh uh, thank you for the good news. I've been hesitant to update to the new N4 right away as I'm in the midst of a project, but hope to see the needle behave nicely after the update soon. Thank you for the info!
and thank you @fastersound for the confirmation.
Cheers

Re: U76 v3 released
Hi,Tim
After testing new N60a(with 3274 samples) I noticed it is less cpu intensive than U76 v3(with only 346 samples)
Maybe its time for U76 v4?

Re: U76 v3 released
I've uploaded a new version with slightly lower cpu, named 28_05_18.
You'll need to replace both programs and vectors

It works perfectly in Pro Tools, Tim! Thank you. One of my favorite vocal compressors in the box, but it was so unusable, due to the CPU spikes! It's so much better now!
Re: U76 v3 released update 31/05/18
hi tim, i got problem using the new U76 V3 library (28/5/18). here's what happened:
i was opening a pro tools session from last month, and it kept crashing midway through loading. took me about one hour to find out that, every track that i inserted the "n4 + u76 v3" caused pro tools to crash upon loading session. i finally found a solution: i replaced the update data from 28/5/18, with the previous batch from 27/8/17 (both programs and vectors) and the session load perfectly.
the good thing is that i don't have a problem with the 27/8/17 version (i can live with jumping meter although i still prefer it fixed), so for now i'll just stick to it. but if there's any information that i can provide you with to find out the problem, please let me know.
pro tools 2018.4 + hdx
macos 10.13.3

Re: U76 v3 released update 31/05/18
Ok must be because its looking at a old session. So maybe what I can do is make a new version that does not copy over the original files. What I suggest If you want to use the new version is to unload the compressors then save the project. Then install the new u76. Load up the comps and should work fine then. The Jumping meter is to do with n4 not the library, One thing you can try is make a setup and make sure your mod to master xml is this led one <LEDSPEED> 0 </LEDSPEED>, the led speed is set to 200 normally, this may help as it helped others. There is supposed to be a fix on the way but only acustica knows about this.
