Bluesman, sounds great too, the recording seems to be pretty good, doesn´t sound supercompressed, I guess you used nebulas consoles and eq?

How do you compare the hornet tape with nebula ones? didn´t know about it...

Greetings

No, I build a fx chain,

- TDR SlickEQ
- Hornet VU Meter MK3(gain Staging-20dBfs)
- U76 All Buttons (1-3dB gain reduction)
- U76 Pre
- Hornet Tape American 2 30ips(÷3dB Input)

Hornet Tape is very good, try it (only 20€).
Nice transients,3 different Machines with 2 presents.

Does anybody know if n60a is good, because I can't find demos nowhere?

If you post a short 24/96 or 32/96 clip or two, I can process them for you. I don't even have the 44, 48, or 88 khz programs installed, though. Let me know what you'd like to hear (ratio, hard/soft, attack, release or whatever).

This is perhaps the only audio forum in the world where you can have complete confidence that the library you buy from a good developer sounds very very close to the hardware it emulates.

The N60 is no exception and doesn't even cost much.

I still haven't heard back from you. I didn't know what you wanted. So I just went ahead and made a sort of demo for you according to my preferences. It's just a 32/96 drum loop that I made w/ Toontrack's Indiependent. I went through compressing it with several ratios (including the negative ones) at various levels of GR. I tried to balance everything to -23 LUFS. Also, one of the clips shows what cranking the preamp will do for you. You should be able to download the original files without Soundcloud's conversion via the download tab. I find the differences more obvious with the original, pre-conversion files.

Oof! Just sandwiched the pre between 2 gain plugs. Lowered the input and raised the output.

Just wanted to pop in to say this U76 is excellent, much more usable for me. The V2 I used on drums a lot, but this one I can use on even acoustic guitar and other subtle things. Super great work, really looking forward to sum 100a udpate 8-)

Hmmm ... for some reason, the pre at any sample rate is making a weird scratchy noise at default settings (gain drive at 0) in Logic Pro X, which is not the case with any of the other TimP pres I have. I've made sure my gain staging is fine, so it can't be that. It seems to be OK when I turn the drive all the way down, but I'm not entirely convinced it's gone (I'll have to do some further testing to make sure).

I'm experiencing the same thing. Sounds like a stuttery glitch sound, but different from the DAW itself stuttering.
