SWANG wrote:^that's just it. it's not a T******h; it's a pultec. tim indicated as much in his reply to you in the original thread.

he hasn't had much experience with T******h outside of their compressors. additionally, david's universal explorer indicates that the dualtech is based on the eqp-1a. search for timp at this link:

sorry to be a stickler. just wanted to make sure we all have the correct info. :)
Holy s*it, SWANG! All that time i thought that was T**e-T**h PE 1C)) And when listen to the demo of dualtech i was wondering how the Hi shelf identical to the EQP-1A quality)
So, with meq-5, Tim has a full set of P stuff)
It remains only to make P mavec and P HLF-3C for whole bunch.

Thanks for clearing SWANG)

On your website I see both labels...PoolTeQ and PTeQ...so this isn´t the old library, is it?

AlexB
Manual says:
To emulate the original unit sound you should use both presets HQ and LE by mixing them in this way:
on a single track when a single equalization band only is required you should use the HQ preset, when you need
more than one band of equalization you should use the LE presets and as last band the HQ. This interaction
gives the right color and harmonic contents.

But if I use whole bands, do i need include the Line Driver in Bypass mode?
If i should, the chain would be like this?

Line Driver (LE or HQ) ?
Low Shelf LE
Mid Bell LE
High Shelf HQ

Thanks!

As I understand, the Line Driver programs are used to emulate the unit in EQ bypass mode (no EQ, only the circuitry). This is often used on the master buss to add some "mojo" to the mix, without EQing it.

So if you use whole bands, you don't need the Line Driver.

Then that would be the obvious choice.
