Sounds great Tim! I actually didnt believe that you could improve that one, but you did. I can compress the crap out of vocals and they stay so smooth.

Check your OPT TIMED setting in the MAST page. The newest nebula has that default changed from 5 to 3, and SOME people are having CPU issues with it. Try changing it back to 5 and see if that helps.
Thanks, yes it's set at 5.
Tim is helping me out, could be something else on my end as well.
I'm sure it will get straightened. It is a great comp & worth picking up.
Ok we sorted this problem.

and I guess as a note. Not using a higher buffer here is the key... It's got something to do with fast program rate and higher latency.... so suggest between 512 and 1024 dsp buffer

No, there is no version 1.4.. in the dashboard, very strange, your la3a can be used with 1.3.903? I´m ready to buy both sum and la3a....

Man, Tim, honestly... this is incredible!! been loving the v1 for quite some time now, but this just floored me in the first millisecond after I pressed play with it on a vocal  for me the next step in itb compression for sure. it felt like inserting hardware for real this time :P super smooth compression and very cool tone, also with the extra line presets!! Im very happy here :P :P :P thank you so much for this and everything Tim!!!

I really dont want to sound greedy especially now that you just gifted us with this, but if you could sample a (vintage) la-2a.... I think it would be a revolution! leading to world peace or the apocalypse, dont know, but something earth shattering would happen if you release it, of that Im sure... :ugeek:

I am pretty sure (unfortunately, sort of....) Nebula Pro stops at 1.3.903. Nebula 4 and beyond is an upgrade to Server-Ultimate (whatever they are calling it now). If Pro works for your needs, don't worry about it. This was discussed on some other thread, but if you have questions, contact support or ask on the general Neb thread. But I am pretty sure this is correct, I checked my account as well and that's what I am finding too.

Oh!

Thank you so much for this, Tim. Merry xmas to me.

The 100a v1 has been on all my bass and vocal tracks since I purchased it. Can't wait to get deep into this release.

Tim,

Any advice on tweaking GUIRATE and METERTYPE in a similar way to the opto3a programs? For opto3a, I have GUIRATE at 5000 and METERTYPE at 2.

Thanks!

we came to the conclusion safe GUIRATE is around 15ms, I guess that would be 15000 in xml. I previously recommended your settings but customers were getting issues with flickering. METERTYPE at 2=good!

Don't trust the needle, ever. JPN and Tim did a good job on the skin but the needle doesn't represent the real behavior because Nebula sucks big time on metering. One day AA will finally disclose all recent improvements to metering we see in acquas. Until that day don't trust meters, ever.
