Very interesting! I'm curious about this one due to the great range of mid frequencies and dynamic sampling. I've never used Calrec hardware but heard many good things about their channel strips.

This may make a great guitar and drum channel EQ, going by what I've read about the character of the HW.

Very good EQ. It's easy to dial in a great sound.
Tried it on a problem bass that I always use to test programs and the C1061 instantly redeemed it. Also found a magic elec guitar setting right away as well.
Will be using this regularly for sure.

Low cpu N2p's here

This is still dynamic but I've reduced the timed kernals slightly ;)

Hi Tim

couple of quick questions about this EQ...

if using multiple instances on 1 channel... should I use the clean presets and then last in the chain use the "Pre" instance??

Does the pre setting have more harmonic kernels than the standard EQ instances?

You talked about adjusting the <knobcontrol> setting in the xml... I can't find it, can I just insert the line into the xml anywhere??

I also couldnt find the <knobcontrol> in nebula setups, so i dont think i can force that setting using nebula setups...? no biggie, is easy enough to add the line otherwise...

Thanks Tim.

ps... is this the Sum V2 week? ;) ;)

I think what your saying is a good idea to do.... It will keep CPU down too. I like stacking multiple harmonic instance versions but to get a tighter accurate sound what your saying is good.
The best way to do the clean instance and harmonic instance thing would be to place the harmonic version last.

Sum 100a v2 is in testing and will be very refined and easy to use, we have been testing for a couple weeks...

Jpn can probably comment on knob settings

Hi sfabs

This is the "tag" you shoud have in your .XML " <KNOBCONTROL> 2 </KNOBCONTROL> "

if it is not already there you can add it anywhere in the.XML

In NebulaSetups you can add a "parameter" and choose KNOBCONTROL ... then set value to 2 .

Thank you Jpn, as always right on point, great, i'll manually add the parameter through Neb setups

ps, did you see my post in the skins sections...

The filter is just killer on this, have been experiencing joy using the HP on some guitars & BG vocal... Magical & euphonic, seriously! Thanks for this one :-)
