Very crispy compressor.
Like the PD attack and release, a lot easier to use.

The sound could be energetic and still controlled with careful settings on manual presets.

Love the Blue skin :)

The next compressor will be another great tool.
Probably a big surprise. ;)

Hey guys I have a very complex mix. lots of changes in the songs. what presets do you recommend for that? should I use the limiter or compressor on the 2 bus? (not mastering).just gluing and smoothing the mix a bit.

thanks for any tips on your experiences with this awesome comp.

cheers,
Patrick

Either, depends on the actual mix (hard to guess with just your description....)
Try both and let your ears decide!

You could try using Preset 5 or preset 5+ these are double release auto settings.

N2p Update to 96khz S and F presets.

Levels are corrected, this means reduction meter will be more accurate.

Sorry to anyone has tried to contact me the last week I was away on tour in Turkey and had no internet access.

Someone found a error that was occurring with levels. This is due to kernal length and sample rate. I'll fix ASAP! If your working in 44.1 there should be no problems!

Tim you recommend using this in Nebula Reverb or in Nebula regular? I noticed it works in both and do not see much difference in cpu usage. Thanks!

Edit: task manager doesnt report much difference but the first core in my sequencer spikes more when using the regular version. I always use the regular version for compressors btw.

Edit 2: it starts crackling the more I raise the treshhold in Nebula regular. 96 kHz. P5+. 1.6 the most, 3 a little bit, 1.8 not at all... :o

Edit 3 it does not crackle at all in Nebula Reverb when raising the treshold: smooth operation :geek:

Things are about to get real GooooooooD!! ;)

I've been mixing/analysing for the next release!!

Expect a Comp/limit to be a set and forget! it will be that easy.

Also all other products will be reviewed

Plus a very cool new feature on a skin made by jpn

For the very first time I've been finally using a comp for Nebula, I thought I'd never see something I liked. Tim did an incredible work on this one, it actually behaves like a comp and not just something trying to follow the signal and apply some weird dynamic control. The A5D by AlexB has some of this behavior and it's really smooth (smooth as "good compression" not as "mellow"). Even the slow programs are fast enough to catch peaks and sudden changes in dynamics which is something where 99% of comps in Nebula suffer from, IN MY OPINION.

I've always been in love with the CL1B , the real thing, because it's soooo smooth and fattens things up the way I like. Maybe I'm biased here because of that but this Bluecomp has that feeling.

When Titanium was released I digged its tone a lot and I still do, it has that nice way to add color which fattens up everything it touches. Unfortunately, I never really liked the way it behaves (and I tried to love it, trust me... just because of that tone it has). Thanks for working on this piece of gear, Tim! I'm so happy to have that T-T sound with this smooth behavior in the box!

Hi Tim, can you give a bit more info on what you mean by 'all other products will be reviewed'? Sounds very interesting...

I mean I will go over other products with similar characteristics and other products will be reviewed in the same way as the recent V2 n2065 filters now on my site!
