If you use Reaper, you already have wet/dry. If not, just set up some parallel processing with an extra track.

I use Reaper's wet/dry for anything (comps, exciters, even eq's) and have never had a phase problem.

I had a phase issue with one preset, don't use it often so can't even remember what it was now, but only realized when using the reaper wet-dry knob
I just put neb in a modular host and switched the input L/R pins around and it was all sweet again
I wish I could drum half as well with two hands as one of Terry Bozzio's feet
