The Great Spring now updated to v2

THE GREAT SPRING!

I've made some improvements to the pack, it's lower artifact, also everything is trimmed for a smaller download size and should be lower cpu.

Whats new-
-4 sample rates in one pack
-2 added pre delays to add a greater sense of space
-Added n3/n4 skins
-wet/dry control

It's a free update and if you only bought a single sample rate you now get all of the sample rates.

This is essentially a mono to stereo spring unit, with a long decay. Fits into the mix nicely. This would be more at home for general mixing, different from my other two springs in that the spring sound is less obvious. On percussion the springiness becomes more apparent.

I have to say that this is a very very nice preset. I use a simple pre-delay in front of it for more options, but other than that, there is no tweaking needed for this. I use it only in a send buss, and it can be very huge or or tastefully subtle, depending on your send level. Pure awesomeness.
....and just when you thought that you had all of the reverb presets that you could ever use........

Oh yes as Richie43 said, Adding a pre delay to the signal can really help create better space in the mix as the reverb is quite dense.

So using as a send-

send >one repeat delay and no dry signal 10ms-40ms>reverb

hi tim. i bought the 44.1 but it doesn't load for me. i just get 'init'. i double checked the installation and everything seems fine.

all other presets are working just fine. including classic phasers and treble n bass.

can anyone confirm that the 44.1 files are working for them?

thanks,
marco

EDIT: well i re-downloaded and reinstalled and still only get 'init'.

All sample rates work for me. Check something; other than the "n2p" and "n2v" parts, are the files named the same (are there any characters missing in either the n2p or n2v file for the 44.1 set)?

hi richie, thanks for checking for me. i appreciate it.

the only 2 files i'm using are:
THE_GREAT_SPRING_44_1.N2P
THE_GREAT_SPRING_44.N2V

i tried changing the preset name from 44_1 to 44 but it still wouldn't load. i also tried renaming the vector to 44_1 but nebula wouldn't see it anymore.

i've sent tim an email so i'll wait an see if he can make any sense of it.

thanks again,
marco

thanks tim. seems it was the vector and everything's fine now.

this thing's a real no-brainer for the price. i also appreciate that you sell all of the different sample rates separately. i wish all neb developers would do that.

great job tim.

marco

I am glad it's all sorted for you. Tim is an incredible customer service dev, for sure!! For future reference, if the files have a naming issue, us ordinary users can't fix it by a simple renaming..... But I am sure any dev would want to hear from you about it!!

I LOVE spring reverbs! Up until now, I've been sticking with AITB's Tankverb (which has a tremendous sound by the way).

Just bought your Great Spring... dude, this rocks. I love that it is a mono-to-stereo spring! That feature alone makes this release stand out. The poingyness is just awesome on percussive stuff and the program itself has a very nice dimensional sound. Excellent work Tim!

I wish I didn't have to work/do homework this weekend. "Spring" break can't come soon enough over here so I can put this beast through its courses
