Re: NEW SCS-TREBLE AND BASS pre/eq Updated 12/10/2013

Post by richie43 » Mon Oct 21, 2013 1:45 pm

The trick is to also remove the semi-colon too so it reads "SCSERIES_TREB&BASS_44_....". That tiny little ";" really makes a difference!
Just like the classic example of how punctuation or lack of can really change a simple sentence......
"I like to eat, my family, and my kids."
or
"I like to eat my family and my kids".

Ok ,

I'm not sure who would be interested but I'm going to make a add on to Treble and Bass , which should be very cheap indeed. The EL34 power section of this amp will be sampled. It should be really nice for the guitar players who use nebula.

The idea being that you could build a amp from this with
a good amount of drive. Perhaps I will do some cabinets in the future but really it will be one step at a time for now.

Hello ,

I've just test the SCS Treble and Bass product , it's great !
BigUp Tim :)

Here , my Dubwise I did last Friday with Reaper

The first link is " original bass " with no SCS .

https://www.dropbox.com/s/1ke348z7yjb26 ... 20BASS.wav

The second version with SCS...Warm and solid bass for reggae & dub

I like the low end and vintage colours :)

https://www.dropbox.com/s/2dp0uz9r9dqzq ... 20BASS.wav

Now it's time to mix this song with all Nebula instance !!!!
Love this software :)

I advise you to buy, it is not expensive at all and still allows access to material that could not even try actually

Release 2! Color boost

A classic dynamically sampled 18v operation guitar eq pedal.

The program comes with Treble,Bass and a output control to avoid clipping nebula. Color boost is sampled dynamically, so it has a very 3d sound to it. As you see from the graphs on website you can get a huge treble boost! That almost can sound like a filter when the bass is at 0.

Purchase for only £6 here

Color boost comes in 4 sample rates 96, 88.2, 48 and 44.1 khz with 10 kernals of distortion in each.

So this is just the EQ section of what looks to be a Colorsound Power Boost 18v guitar pedal? I know Nebula is not capable of the distortion that this pedal can produce (I don't have one but just found examples of it on YouTube). Which is too bad, because the examples I found sound like this pedal produces a beautiful smooth distortion sound.

Hello mtalavera,

Is the distortion coming from a pushing the front end of a amp or the pedal? As it's primarily a booster. This release is not intended to be a distortion library..

Cheers

Any distortion from this pedal is from the amp getting hit harder. If you were to use this as a "di" sort of pedal, you would want to back off on the volume knob of the pedal as you increase either of the boosts...It really boosts the signal as frequencies are boosted. So the distortion in the YouTube samples are the amp getting saturated bu the hotter signal.

For the record, I have never had this specific pedal, but have had a few similar. This preset is really awesome, by the way. The high end boost is really something!!

I haven't used any effects pedals in I don't know how long for my guitar, so I may not understand how this particular one works. In this video, the guy turns it off and the signal is clean, then turns it on and the sound is distorted, so I thought it was coming from the pedal.

If you look closely at the output (or volume) knob, it is up very high. This is a huge level boost that will drive the amp into overdrive. Boost pedals typically don't distort themselves, they boot the input gain and drive the amp hotter. If you want a pedal to do the actual distorting, usually they will be called a distortion or overdrive pedal.
I am not saying that you are wrong, but like I said, I have had pedals like the Colorsound, and they do not distort themselves, they push the amp to overdrive.
Example:

This library is all about the tonal boosts and color.

I should add.... the distortion IS caused by the pedal in the video, it's just not coming from the pedal. When he turns the pedal on, it's boost is so high that the preamps of the amp are pushed into distortion. There is a section of the video (or maybe a different one, I looked at many) that the volume is turned all the way down... the tone gets very clean again.
