AITB EAR come up init

Post by Raynorshyn » Fri Sep 06, 2013 11:59 am

I undoubtedly picked a bad time for new hard drives.

But, Neb Server is working, latest setup installed and server upgrade installed to 505. License auth good. Most other libraries work fine including other AITB stuff.

Just the Tank, Pho and EAR reverb libraries come up init when loading. Any ideas!!

Thanks.

They are. As well as the AlexB .aut.s (although I don't know if those are required any longer)...

Anyway all the AITB programs that have a .SER and an .AUT file in the nebulatemprepository come up init. All other libs work fine.

The temprepository is on a separate drive, using the Alternate Datapath patch in xml. The Nebula authorization comes up fine as well as the server on the Disk page.

Was just using these a week ago before swapping and moving drives and drive letters.

Just a guess here but...seems to me when one authorized an AITB library it had to be done on the machine in question (and then that specific file gets uploaded and an authorization generated). So based on that I'm betting that the .SER has some kind of identification (of that specific machine or drive) which no longer matches.

You might not be out of luck, though, the AITB My Account section seems to be up and running. I have no idea if it will generate a new authorization but it's worth a try.

when you change harddrives, the ser-number changes.
so you have to authorize it again.
the useraccounts of aitb are still accessible, so it should not be a problem.
send an email to aitb and they will help you.
best,

Pretty sure you are SOL, with AITB at this point. My APeQ, EAR and Mammoth have been out of commission for the Server Mac version I upgraded to, but when I rolled back to 32bit Nebula (non-server), my AITB libraries still came up bad, even though they are on the same drive they've always been.

I was able to login to my account at AITB, upload the existing .SER files and download the new .AUT files to the nebulatemprepository I have set...

but no change.

I see the libraries in the plugin, but just get init.
Rebooted, restarted, etc. No AITB except for the libraries I didn't get around to authorizing because they already had long been working fine (Doc Fear, etc).

Bummed because I picked up all the Verb and EAR libs to swim around in when I had time.
Gone.

If you are using the original ser files, they will not work because you are merely getting an aut file to unlock your old set-up, which does not work. Try moving the ser files and old aut files(for the libraries not working) to a non-Nebula related location, and load each library to generate a new ser file. Upload those to your account and try those aut files..

Thank you Richie I will give it a go.

I now have freshly made SER files for the new drive, but no new authorizations left at AITB to slide them onto to generate another AUT file.

I have emailed AITB. We shall see.
