CDS Releases "CVQ" for Nebula Pro !!!

Post by cdsoundmaster » Mon Jan 14, 2013 9:40 am

CDSoundMaster is pleased to announce our newest release for NebulaPro:

The "CVQ- Custom Valve EQ" For Nebula Pro !!!

"CVQ" is an amazing vacuum tube eq that you will not find anywhere else in the world! It uses the actual tube to create the tones you will be using, and there are fewer than 50 currently in existence. It is a different design from any other tube eq previously made, and the warmth and detail is simply stunning.

Thanks So Much and God Bless You.

I don't mean to discredit any other eq library in the vast Nebula preset cosmos, but this eq blows me away more than any eq has ever done. And that actually includes hardware. This is tubey goodness at it's best and most luscious. For real, I can't even explain what this does, but it is really cool. It is only 3 bands (LO SHELF-MID BELL-HIGH SHELF) and they are very broad fixed curves. But don't get all worried about not having control with this, it almost always sounds amazing. The preamp presets are worth the price, in my opinion, so having all of the eq bans is like a bonus!! lol.

Yeah, well the demo sounds impressive (high shelf omg!!) but it does look funny on graphs when pushed mid which should be +15dbs doesn't even reach +5.. (maybe the graph was taken at +5 db??).. same for all other bands.. (they go up to +9 dbs instead of 15dbs).. but who cares if it sounds good right? ;)

Ha ha, I guess your point only confirms my own "old-school" approach to audio, which I am not saying is good or bad, it just is. But I am referring to the fact that I didn't even look at the graphs, nor have I seen any graphs for any presets that I have purchased in the last year!!

bought it, like it. what people say about a library making the track more 3-d. it does that :D the shelves are nice.
strangely I like the preamp AFTER the high-shelf on the 2-bus. works

Hi everyone!
Here is the link to the demo:
http://cdsoundmaster.com/site/cvq-neb/C ... EB-PRO.zip

I have not linked it to the main site yet.
Working on a lot of projects and wanted to get it out to customers and direct post. It will get linked in soon.

The demo is limited in amount of gain- there is more on the full version.
It is definitely the sweetest custom tube design ever.

The full version is very wide mid and less +/- in the mids but lots of harmonic content which gives it more glue than volume which is perfect. It has a ton of +/- in the low/high shelf in the full version. You can definitely use the eq harmonics over full mixes it is just that nice! :-)

In general, it has the most boost/cut in the lows, more in cut, and it has more than +10dB in highs and just a few dB in mids but sounds like more/less with the harmonics.

But, these differ depending on your input. The type of material is interactive with the tube- meaning that it is easier to boost/cut more depending on the content. It is adaptive.

I hope you enjoy!
God Bless You

Another great release Michael. Downloaded but haven't run it through its paces yet in a project but really looking forward to doing so. I am sure it's a winner by the comments here and your reputation for amazing quality.
Funny story, I bought the UAD 1176 reissue on special recently with the Christmas sales and was very impressed with the quality. Very much nails the sound. Got me intrigued about their products as I only have a humble solo expresscard that is way underpowered and never really looked at UAD in the past. I went to the shop and even started thinking of looking at more powerful hardware.

Didn't take me long to come back scurring to the Nebula forum. . . . . . .
the savings by going with Nebula are insane with eqs from guys like Michael that are on par or surpass the emulations. We live in interesting times for sure.
Take care and God bless you too Michael.
