AITB W735 EQ (Aqua VST)

Post by Grim » Thu Oct 06, 2011 4:22 am

Not strictly a library so hope it's ok to post her.

The W735 EQ is now available to purchase from the AITB site. 7 day introductory price is €29.99 but I don't know from when!

I bought, downloaded, installed & authorised it in under 5 minutes from the relaunched site without any problem.
The manual seems to fail download every time I try but the authorisation process was fairly obvious & as it's only 2 knobs even I don't need an operation manual!

Too late here to really try it properly but with a rather fatigued listen on headphones the high end boosts sound incredible. Can't wait to test more tomorrow.

Bought it too. It's already all over a project. it sounds very very nice. Smooth boosts without harshness.

Quite heavy. 10 instances on my i730 bobs around 35-40%.

Load time also very slow. Re-opening that project with only those 10 instances took 2m 20s.....compared to a near complete mix with over 120 plugs inc Nebulas taking 1m 05s.

I have to say though that it's well worth the wait.

It seems to handle boosts that I wouldn't expect to get away with....a couple db at 125Hz on an already thick sounding track is giving some great thump without getting overly boomy.

AquaFXs has master .XML file like Nebula you can tweak it too.

Default DSPbuffer is 8192.

It was too sluggish for me so I tried it at 2048 & there was no appreciable change to CPU use so I've left it there.

So is there something I can tweak in the XML to minimise loading time without compromising quality....I'm guessing src is the problem?? I'm at 44.1k

I still can't download the manual which might help answer my questions.
I think the pdf is corrupt...if I download via browser it stops at 1.5Mb. With a download manager it downloads all except a segment between 1.5 & 2Mb. Not quite sure why a small manual needs to be 7Mb...must be some really useful data in there :)

@Grim:
here is the manual. It's large because it seems like they are using some fancy colored background graphics.
