I have the Clariphonic hardware and the new VST plugin. There is a noticeable difference between the plugin and the hardware. I believe Nebula can fill the gap :-) Looking forward to see the a Clariphonic library in Nebula

Would like to know if there any parallel eq's for Neb as well.

Coming soon............. ;)
Oh snap! That would be NICE.

When you're at it, do you have any access to MAAG EQ4 as well? Loved that as i demoed the plugin version, but can't justify the price.

Sorry for the OT tho

Clariphonic characteristic library

Post by davidgary73 » Sat Dec 08, 2012 1:40 am

@mpodrug

Hahaha no worries, this thread has been OT since post 2. I think i better change the thread name from UBK-1 to " Clariphonic library" since the whole discussion is leaning towards it.. :lol: :lol: :lol:

I reckon UBK-1 will not be Nubularized or can't be simulated in Nebula. Well, this calls for a UBK-1 purchase then and looking forward to checkout Clariphonic library ;) .

And yes, MAAG EQ4 is awesome and hope it will be a tool in Nebula soon.

Cheers

Using a wet/dry mix on an eq plugin is not the same as the Clariphonic's parallel circuit.

Combining the eq'd audio with the original will result in phasing issues, whereas with the Clariphonic the filter does something something I don't really know but I read it somewhere that the two are not the same.

Which is why I'm keen on someone sampling the HW Clariphonic.

Yeah I think it not just as simple as parallel circuitry their is some magic under the box. The guy who runs it (Greg Scott?(I could be wrong)) Has some serious passion about the stuff me makes you can see that comes across when he talks about his ideas and when he demo's the hardware/software. I wish I could afford hardware such as his, But luckily I have nebula :D :D
