Post by AlexB » Thu Nov 08, 2012 8:57 pm

Hello !

Preamp Colors & Saturation released !

SAMPLED AT 96kHz AND 44.1kHz !!! :)

Preamp Colors & Saturation

Paint you Sound

Image

Totally reworked library: a few more preamps, re sampled, re programmed... Re priced

A collection of the best sounding microphone preamplifiers from the sixties to modern day. Choosing from solid state and tube circuitry gives you the flexibility for all applications, from warm, deep and rich to clear, smooth and clean... and everything in between. These are simply great to bring some life into VST instruments and samplers. Color those sterile tracks with a touch of analog vibe or "over-color" your tracks for an effect.

Why waste a ton of money for analog-modeling plugins or simple-dynamic-convolution plugins that only pull a veil over your sound? Nebula3 and PC&S give you all the vibe, colors, dynamics and harmonic content of the real hardware!

. 5 kernels harmonics program
. 43 different programs from rare and vintage to modern microphone pre-amplifiers
. Tube and Solid State circuitry
. Real "Saturation" control
. Better sound with less CPU and RAM load
. Over 1.2GB library programs

Programs characteristics and details in the :PC&S User Manual

PLEASE NOTE:
They are mic-preamps and not a MARSHALL to overdrive !

>>> Free Demo available.

PLEASE update your Nebula plugin at the very last release !

Silver customers get discounted price, PCS users can upgrade to PC&S with little cost.

Customers will receive an informative email also.

Thank you, all the best ! ;)

It's good that he updated it. Recently I used to prefer Henry Olonga's Pres which are very cheap but have tremendous quality and are more colored.
I believe it's on the same level again.
I wonder how much work it was to rework all that.
This is a must have!

Yeah, I'm planning an update of several libraries in the next weeks (been planning it for a while but it's been busy over here), and I also want to make some more descriptions for NebulaMan (I haven't forgotten about you, Franci). I'll do it asap.

Preamp Colors & Saturation + GDRIVE

Post by Vernon » Thu Nov 22, 2012 10:57 pm

Hi,

I've tried to patch the PC&S libraries with the preamp GDRIVE patch but the GDRIVE control overwrite the Saturation one...
Is there a simple way to have both without manually editing the individual library's controls?

Thanks, Vernon

Why? The saturation control is a better choice in my opinion for this library. To my knowledge, Alex's saturation is basically the same, it is driving the input of the preamp harder (which is what the GDRIVE is also doing).

Hi Richie and thanks for the reply!

I only would be sure of the same result, in fact Alexb manual says: "With the SAT control you can change the real saturation by driving the input stage
+/- 12dB without changing the output level.".

That sounds like a GDRIVE to me. I have applied the GRDIVE patch to all of my older libraries (where it's applicable), but some of the newer ones (Alex, Gemini) are perfect (for me) right "out of the box".

SAT control applied to my libraries is the GDRIVE optimized and with different scale: +/-6dB, +/-12dB and so.
