Hi guys,
It's not buried. Just not a priority. Please take this from my heart in the right spirit. Put simply - it will be intensive and right now I cannot do intensive for zip. I am finishing my albums in the next month and it is a tight deadline. I have worked out how I am going to do the M7 so the hardest part is over. For years I couldn't crack it but it is now nailed from a workflow perspective :D . My head is sorted as far as that goes. But I need to get my album out because bottom line, I am over budget and a little broke so focussing on this project isn't possible within the parameters of what Casey has allowed. I am still passionate about it so don't worry, it's not abandoned. I have warned many times that it was going to be a slow and steady project and I will repeat that here. I am afraid that is sort of the nature of free. ;). Perhaps don't plan any purchasing decisions or project decisions based on this release. I simply cannot give an ETA. To be blunt - if my Nebula shop was doing brisk business - I would be all over this as I would be freed up - but it isn't, so to live and pay rent and feed my kids I have to do so many other things. I think it is as simple as that surprise surprise. :o

So I take it that this isn't going to happen after all?

Man am I disappointed.. I'm still missing that ultimate reverb. All this hype and promises and then nothing..

I don't think anyone is more disappointed then He who put so much time and effort into trying to make it happen. Let alone doing it for free.

All respect Henry 8-)

Yes of course.. but it's still disappointing. I'd like to know what happened and why it didn't work?

Henry's post at the top of this page was the most recent update. He's on tour right now so I'd imagine it will be some time before he's actively sampling again.

IIRC, there were problems with the Bricasti's modulation in the sampling process. Henry/NAT was trying to sample the reverb, but the modulation happening in the Bricasti was making things turn out inaccurate.

OK, i was guessing it's something like that.. I think that most of us still would like to see it released even if it isn't spot on.

I'm still having problems finding a good MASSIVE hall reverb with 5-6sec tail.. the EAR has some good presets, but still not exactly what I'm looking for.

Hi guys, been such a long time and sorry for bumping an old thread. I just thought I would give some feedback on a little discovery I made as I am nearing completion on a friends album. As many of you know I just couldn't get this M7 sampling to work as the sweeps always had errors and I suspect the way I sampled at 192 khz etc would have made for a stupidly huge library. In any case I bought the Seventh Heaven plugin by Liquidsonics when it came out months ago. As I have the hardware I haven't used it that much but then I needed a few more spaces and felt limited by one hardware piece. So I fired up the software and tried it but felt unhappy. It wasn't the sound I was used to. Now granted Matthew used the digital IO to sample the IRs with his fusion tech so there would obviously be a difference to what I was used to as I preferred the analog.

In any case I felt it sounded too clean and sterile. So remember how I had made an AD/DA loop of the convertors while I was beta testing ? Anyway - today I was finishing a mix and decided that I would compare the hardware and the plugin using the analog ins and outs. As usual - something was a little off that the hardware had that the plugin lacked. The convertors obviously add something more natural to my ears. So I pulled up my AD/DA preset for nebula and blow me down folks but once I level matched, I had a hard time telling the difference they are now that close. I placed it after the plugin in my chain and the difference is extraordinary in a busy mix. Although referenced earlier in the thread the link to the nebula converters is

http://www.nebulapresets.com/Bricasti_A ... _44khz.zip . This needs at least Nebula 3 if I remember right.

Please feel free to distribute as far and wide as you wish. I just think it adds tremendous value to the product. If you own the plugin then you can have the best of both worlds now - the pure digital and also the analog sound. There is a warmth and mojo added with the nebula presets. Also seems to tighten the stereo field in keeping with the hardware analog outputs. Anyway - I know this sounds like high praise but I now feel that I don't need four Bricastis to use on a mix to get that sense of real space now. Sometimes one wants to have a small space plus slightly larger ones and with my one piece it was frustrating. So happy now. Seventh heaven owners - upgrade your sound to close to the analog for free...... :D

Try it yourselves - sorry really busy so no tests to offer... ;)

Regards
Henry

This is extremely cool to hear, Henry. Thanks so much for contributing such an awesome idea, on top of your awesome sampling library. I really dig Seventh Heaven but I don’t own the hardware, so I wasn’t sure of the difference. I’ll be trying this right away 👍🏽
