Again thanks, purchased on your recommendation and your guitar samples. The description of the TankVerb made me think its odd and very different, but your samples shows that they are useful, and great sounding. Thanks for the link and effort.

:-) ;) :D

MORE QUICK TANKVERB SAMPLES-OLD SCHOOL BLUES GUITAR

Post by richie43 » Sat Oct 20, 2012 9:28 pm

Really old-school. Like almost out of tune, noisy Strat (yes, a real 1979 one), run through an old tube amp (untweaked, just fired it up), and recorded through 3 quickly set-up ribbon mics, dry-no verb. So excuse the messiness, but it truly makes the prests shine!!

Sample 1
Type 9-Long Decay-Normal-Tube 4

Sample 2
Type 9-Medium-Dark-Tube 3

To me, this is one area that spring tanks really shine in. Both of these new libraries blow my mind.

Thanks a lot richie43 for taking your time to show us how this library sounds - and WOW, what a lush, nice and rich sound from that vocal and backvocal-mix!

I purchased both libraries, downloading now and looking forward to use them in a mix ;)

Thanks Rich.

I had an email from Niklas telling me that the Win 32 bit installer was acting up... I try to install Phonocamptica but I got the same problem than other users and I'm on 64 bit Win 7.
Do you guys find a way to install it ? The downloads seems complete,I downloaded it 2 times without success...

As for the unit sampled for those interested it's a mix of M2000 & M4000 (Phonocamptica).

The AITB crew is mad busy,so I too, will be patient and will not be on their a$$.Any advice installation trick is welcome ;)

EDIT : I forget to mention that AITB was working on it and everything should be fixed this weekend.Patience...

Thanks Rich!!! It sounds nice, as for the 70's recording, TBH that's my style, all analog. Hence why I love nebula so much!!!

This (Phonocamptica) is a great library. It sounds big , lush and expensive. However, some presets comes with too long tail. Is there a way to shorten tails in mast page or can presets be defined with lengths such as 1.0 sec, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 etc.?

I am looking forward to the update of the FULL version, as some (a few) presets in the current version are a bit noisy even with input level way down, and output level compensated. I know the dev team are working hard on this, and I am really looking forward for the final release. Great work!

hi!

you can change the length on the kern-page, like every reverb-program inside Nebula!
freqd.png
length
freqd.png (107.31 KiB) Viewed 5392 times
you can also find this info in the manual (Page 07).

It is not excactly noise, it is the interpolation of the reverb-tails, which also have high-frequency content in the later part of the tails, you can tweak
this more with the FREQD and FADE parameter to match your source-material.

hope this helps!

well ... getting an error message at the AITB 'contact' section, so I'll post here.

Hi Mirco,

Just a quick question, please.

I've purchased 'PhonoCamptica'.

My question, is there a time limit to download the product ?
I ask, due to current schedule AND the need to open up/ organize additional hard drive storage before downloading.

THANKS for all you work providing these libraries, looking forward to working with this verb.

Thanks for any clarification.

Sincerely,

hey RJ. I am not AITB, but I have had issues trying to even view their website today, so I imagine that they are having some kind of network issues over there. And as far as I know, AITB has no time constraints for downloading, but there are limited number of downloads available per order. So you should be good to go, as soon as you can actually get into your account.

my phonocampitica setup exe does not work, most probably some downloaded file is corrupted or not complete. i 'd like to download the files again but AITB's website is down (for maintenance as it says) since two days. would be nice to know when it's back again. i'm kinda sick of checking 10 times every day...
