NoCmp is the same as above but with no compression, per the manual.Limiter bypassed / Compressor engaged.
Attack: Not available, Release: Not available
5 kernels, H2 – H5 reserved for harmonic distortion
This program is less intended to emulate the 2254’s original
compression behaviour, but to provide you a stunningly smooth and
beautiful sounding tone shaper.
I love the sound of the Fate and the way it helps things sit in the mix but found its fixed attack impractical. As a result, I've been using the NoCmp program lately and really like what it adds.
Is this something that can only be done with this hardware unit? Is there any reason that other libraries don't include programs like this? Or... do they and I'm just missing it?
