Nebula's 'Analog Channel'...

Post by anthonyw » Tue Nov 23, 2010 10:32 pm

... I love it! By far my favorite Nebula program. Slap it on anything, especially the master, bring the attack all the way up and release all the way down... amazing! I think it deserves to be it's own plugin. 8-)

It does have an uncanny ability to warm thing up in way You would only dream of with mere emulations.

Last night I added it to some rock'n guitars which had been low pass filtered all the way down to about 5K and which of course ended up sounding a bit harsh.

Added AC to that particular track and problem solved!

Gotta try this. 8-)

Does someone know in which part of the commercial library this "Analog Channel" is located. I did a clean up of my programs last year and I mainly kept the 3rd party libs.

The new Nebula Commercial library is now splitted in different sections: Other, Preamps, Eqs, etc ... Do you know where I could find "Analog Channel"...I don't feel like installing everything again... :?

Thanks in advance!

Eric

it should be in the first or second preamp-collection.

there is a list of programs here:
http://www.acustica-audio.com/forum/ind ... =viewtopic

(go to the zip file at the bottom and download it)

but it does not state in which part of the downloads you can find it.

it would be great to have a list, to see what is in which part of the downloadable files.

Thank you Mathias! There is a list and the Analog Channel is located in the 1st Preamp zip file.

Edit: Here's the link to the 1st Preamp zip file. You have to be logged in first... 8-)

i was wrong, sorry staff

there is a "per download list" in the zip file of the commercial-library list.

so it is easy to search for a special program.

I never tried changing the Attack and Release times as Anthony described. How does this alter the sound?
So far, one of my absolute favourites in the original library is "Instant Warmer"! If you stack 2 or 3, it's unbelievable, almost tape-like...

...while the "Analog Channel" starts to crap out after 2 instances! Hm. I tried different settings for att/rel, but it behaves *very* strange – almost like a "real" channel with old dried-out capacitors :)
