that was a very senseless comment.

One BIG problem though.. Current (Sierra OS).

Presently none of my Nebula 3 / acqua plugins e.g. Magenta/ Purple are working - as Sierra is not supported as has been warned by A.A. thank you.

However, I do hope you 'ragazzis' are testing N4 in Sierra OS? ;)

I will only purchase N4 once Sierra is supported.. I miss using all my Acustica Audio plugins in Sierra right now!

That would be worth the upgrade cost for me.

I have nebula 3 server but there is not a zl plugin for it...
or is there and I just dont know about it?
Nebula4 can works at zero latency due use Nebula Acqua Engine, CORE9 also has CORE7 features and zero latency is a CORE7 feature.

Can someone from acustica answer the following
Question please:

When nebula 4 eventually supports
loading of multiple instances, will
this be a paid or a free upgrade?

I am asking because this is the feature
that interests me the most.

Isn't ANYONE here concerned about the fact Nebula isn't yet supporting Sierra OS?

I sure hope N4 will be Sierra supported... :?

Anyone else managed to get Nebula working in Mac OS Sierra yet? Please PM / reply if you have.. I've managed to get Nebula to work in Sierra only within DSP QUATTRO (Wave editor), but that's about it, the Acqua plugins I have flat don't work in Sierra...

I think free. I cannot be sure about the future, but the main idea is a paid update after a lot of years, after that a lot of free updates. Adding an other oasis update after a short period of time doesn't make a sense

Do you have issues using latest acqua plugins?

Hello Alex, now with the release of N4, I wonder if you will upgrade your libraries to use the new features of core 9 and skins? Thank's
And he answered:
Not at the moment. It will cost a lot and doesn't improve the sound.

And now????
I was going to write a long post, but I'll reduce the discussion on a simple example, so you'll understand where is the devil.
Let's suppose we want to release a preamp.

We have today a new technique which minimizes the bad alignment of harmonics, because as usually nebula is trying to synchronize peaks, which is not the right thing to do in this exact case. Sometimes it is correct, sometimes not.

So this is not an issue on the developer side, this is an issue on the engine side. But the first time nebula loads or encrypt the library it forces the new syncrhonization point, loosing forever the correct point. Today there is NOTHING a developer could do for fixing it. The library is delivered in a damaged form, because nebula forces the new points. Points are sometimes derived ALREADY in a wrong way from nat, which has an internal aligment and destroys the information.

So -> nat destroys the alignment. Even fixing nat, nebula would destroy the alignment, for the same exact reason.
How to solve it? you need to use a fixed nat which avoid this.
Than you need to fix nebula, placing a sort of artificial offset (this is what is happening in ultrasync and now in ultraharmonics). It is not enough: you need to care about the alignment during sample rate conversion. The offset changes again. And you need to freeze it in a different position.

This is a basic example, but it explains why in all existing things you are never cloud9. You need to keep learning, improving, working. Work, work, work. Hard work, work, work.

Said that, if you are happy because the past achievements I'm ok, but we cannot sleep because we are "great". We need to go on, and work, work, work.
Mr. G - unless I misunderstand, running some libraries that were created with Nat3 would possibly improve in sound just by running them in Nebula 4 instead of Nebula 3 Pro? The other half of the improvement would take place if they were re-sampled using NAT 4 and run thru Nebula 4 I guess... :?:

Basically you need all these things:
- New nat4 tool
- Repeat the library creation procedure (deconvolution)
- N4 or a new nebula engine

Highly suggested also
- Resampling using a new testtone which increases the precision

i would definitively go with N4 at this point since you don't own N3
N4 is more future proof

Mavericks worked perfect with N3 for me so i doubt it would not work just as well with N4

i don't get why people need to be on latest os all the time hehe

on mac i stopped at maverick on PC i stay on Win7
the latest os on both platforms mac, pc
just brings so much unnecessary stuff a music computer doesn't need IMO

if it works don't fix it :)
I7 5820k • RME • Audient • Reaper64 • Win7 64 • Amethyst • Coral • Ebony • El Rey • Emerald • Gold • Honey • Ivory • Lemon • Lime • Magenta • Navy • Pearl • Pink • Pink Comp Bundle • Ruby • Sand • Tapue • Titanium • Virgo • White2 • N3s • N4
