Effect similar to Oxford inflator

Post by tbentley » Wed Nov 23, 2011 1:53 pm

Are there any nebula libraries that can do what inflator does.

You could take eric's non decode dolby enhancer, add a limiter over the top then double up the same track in parallel uneffected.Blend to taste.

No. You can get somewhat similar sound by combining TB+ with a limiter, but inflator generates linear-phase saturation and is more flexible.

My Son Max.

Much, much better than Inflator, though.

My son max is an excellent preset, but very different from inflator: it is a clean preset based on phase shifts and spectral changes. Inflator has linear-phase, doesn't change the spectrum and adds odd harmonics to achieve greater density. It also has a built-in limiter.
