Re-enabling multithreading: Just to know

Post by FrankydT » Mon Sep 12, 2011 2:44 pm

Hi,
Somebody knows how to restore multithreading on Nebula?
I work on a 2008 Mac Pro (Quad-Core), Snow Leopard 10.6.8, Logic Pro 9.1.5, Wave Editor 1.5.5 and H******* Mixbus 2.0.4.
I use Nebula 3 Server 1.3.499n.
I would like to see if my specific system improves his performance.
(Or not...)
Thank you!

Hello "I hate read FAQ kid"

http://www.acustica-audio.com/forum/ind ... =viewtopic
Parameter name: Ghost mode
Description: This parameter enable a mode for minimizes audio drop-outs for every kind of long sized kernels programs like reverberation.
MAST page name: GHOST MODE
Master .XML name: NODROP
Factory value (in Master .XML): 1
Guru extra information: with ghost mode the host could display a wrong CPU load but I don't suggest to turn ghost mode off. The host will report the correct CPU load but you'll get more spikes, especially on slow systems.

Well, I've read the faq, but in GHOST description there's not mentioned about cpu multithreading but correct reporting cpu load.
I was thinking this wasn't the right parameter.
(By the way, i found no word 'multithreading' in the faq.)
Thank you for explanation.
I asked because I've read in the latest updates it was disabled by default for some problems.
Anyway, it seems that's better not tweaking it.
Thank you again.
