nebula crashes reaper

Post by smokedsounds » Mon Sep 05, 2011 8:42 pm

hi there
i've been a very happy Nebula user for a while, running it in Reaper 3.66 (Win XP professional version 2002 service pack 3)

I just tried to upgrade nebula by removing the previous install and installing version 1.3.499 (nebula3pro). This seemed to go allright.
When booting, Reaper now shows a message that the nebula reverb dll doesn't work. Reaper then starts. In the fx list, only nebula shows up (not the reverb version) but that won't start, selecting it effectively crashes reaper.
Next thing i tried upgrading with version 1.3.495 but the same thing happens.

Anyone have any suggestions?
thanks
Michiel

Michiel it's not clear to me whether or not you used "upgrade" versions of "setup" versions. But going on what you describe it sounds like you rmeoved your previous installation and used an upgrade version, which is no good. Any time you upgrade leave your previous version intact. Go back, download a setup version for a clean install, run your license. Then download the latest upgrade version and upgrade that setup version. Make sure you back up your libraries first.
