mac users should wait a bit. Intel didn't support ipp library directly, but forced the usage of their compiler, so it's a BIG mess, as usually. I'm not surprised about that. Every time I try to figure something on mac osx side, it's a mess. Even linux is a lot more user friendly when you are trying to write code ;)

Ok...1.3.499b...with server64 running (Reaper (x64)) and 3 instances of Nebula Reverb 64 (1 VNXT plate 1.5 seconds,2 mammoth eq's(96k),96k session) CPU 27%-77%,RAM 231 mb,GPU -30,061% until I press stop (then it reads zero, even when I press play again).Same glitching as before...Within Reaper itself in server mode the cpu meters are very low. When I close server and restart Reaper and load the same project, it runs smoothly, although the cpu meters skyrocket...

perfect. Increase a bit DSPBUFFER in the case. Use Nebula3 reverb only. Check that you are in GHOST mode. Use it without the server. It's strange you get GPU values... anyway forget the server for a while, you don't need it any more.

My DSPBUFFER is at 8192...I will check to see if I'm in Ghost mode or not (I am running Nebula64 Reverb at 5 x quality with 10 kernels at 96k on a Core2duo laptop...I don't expect it to be too efficient)...I'm actually pretty happy. The only thing that's out of place is the GPU thing.I hope it's something harmless and/or easy to figure out...cheers.

I just got back home and installed the .499b update.

This crashes Ableton Live and Cubase 5 when I try to load either Neb Regular or Neb Reverb.

could you try loading the localserver application first? Try an empty song: before run nebulaserverwin, than open an empty song and try to load an instance. I'm trying to understand if it was installed in the right folder

other thing, it's possible a library is missing in your computer. Which CPU do you have?

Hi G,

Ok, heres what I did:

1) load the Nebulaserver x86
2) load Ableton Live with blank session
3) load instance of Nebula

Ableton Live then crashed with serious error.

I am running an intel i7 win7 6gb ram.

Regarding missing library, I am not sure how to check this but I do know the previous versions of Nebula do not crash the host. If I simply copy the older .dll files back into the vstplugins/acoustica directory then the old Nebula runs okay. It's only with this .499b version that I am seeing the crash.

So this crash is happening both when I have the server loaded before the host, and also when no server is loaded and I instantiate Nebula.
Cheers

ok contact me, I'll provide a release not based on new intel libraries, in order to understand the issue

So lately 1.3.499b made my day! Everything works now in Cubase 32bit on my 32bit XP quad core machine without any crashes so far! Great!! The plug even says Core 3 engine. :-))

I tested it with and without Nebula Server Local. But I noticed no differences anymore..!?

So I have just one advange with the server version when I'm on 32bit Windows with a 32 bit host: I can just acces more RAM because the server is running in the background. Is this correct?

I will test this version the next days extensive and push my computer to the limit to see how I can work with Nebula now. But I think it will make me smile again ;-) Great job!

Cheers!

One strange thing. The windows task manager tells me a much higher CPU load than in Cubase. But that must be the correct information. Cubase says it's much, much lower. So Cubase somehow gets not the right information...hmm.

The Cubase usage meter tells you how much load is on the ASIO (audio) system, not the CPU, that's the difference. Usually the ASIO meter shows a higher usage than Windows Task Manager.

This is just an afterthought...I'm not sure if I actually made it clear enough (or that it is relevant) that the strange GPU reading I got was a negative value...-30,061%...
