you can't go louder than +3dB. You can change this limit.

how do you change this value. Where is the Protectiondb located

i just activated protectiondb manually in the xml file (was curious how it works) in neb 1.3.500. it's indeed a very unpleasant feature with all the crackling that will probably cause more harm than just going over.

Edit the .XML file into a notepad or similar if you are under OSX.
