Hey, G! I really like the sound of Ruby. It is the best sounding analog modeled eq ITB, in my most honest opinion. I have one question and hopefully you can answer. I have all the top eqs and they all sound really good, BUT what did you do DIFFERENT with Ruby? I know that it's not JUST the unit you modeled. Did you do anything different in the sampling process? Was there a change in coding, etc.?

Are there two preamp sections? I see “LowPreamp” and “Preamp” in the text description above.
Hey Mark, no, it is a typo. Fabio must have copied some text around and the 'Low' is probably from the EQ section... One pre only. But the HF of the EQ don't sound the same without it. You switch it on/off as usual by clicking on the red light to the right.

OMG, this is sick! I love just everything about it. The preamp being smoother than butter, the smartest choice of cut/boost frequencies and the EQ's sound. Not made for rock 'n' roll though

How does Ruby sound compared to Diamond & Cobalt EQ?
Not able to demo during the intro period...

I have been comparing closely with Cobalt. I can achieve similar results, but even though they are both vacuum tube devices, Cobalt is definitely harsher in HF gain in my opinion. Ruby's strength is butter smooth HF and really deep, smooth and solid LF control. It also has a more elegant/classy presentation overall. Having the Low mid-cut also makes it more versatile. Whether Ruby is worth another 200 euros however, is the argument I am having with myself!!

I tried the demo this weekend, and it is really really good. The sound is amazing and the workflow is one of it's strengths. I wonder how it compares to doc fear sound-wise, nonetheless, the ability to not to have add instances for different bands might be worth it. I am seriously considering to buy ruby, it is a real gem, although I promised myself not to buy a new EQ... #fml :D

i just tried it briefly today and i'm seriously amazed.
it's a pity it's so damn expensive and no discount coupons allowed.

Yes, a beautiful sounding eq, and runs with much better and smoother usability with this plugin as well.
But I agree the price is very steep for just a single eq plugin, and not allowing customers that have supported you guys for years to use their discount coupons isn't good.
Otherwise, great work.

This is the best ITB tube EQ by some margin.

Congrats AA! Game changer.
