Re: Configuring Nebula and Nebula Reverb.

I also didn't know that, of the two dlls, only Reverb is multithreaded, which is interesting. DLLs are exactly the same. Yeah, I know. People keep repeating that as though it were relevant... But they're not configured the same. Giancarlo clearly implies above that only Reverb is set up to use mult...

Re: Configuring Nebula and Nebula Reverb.

You should "sticky" this thread somewhere now that Giancarlo has cleared it up!! Lol. Definitely make it a sticky. I considered myself a pretty involved Nebula user (knows what all the parameters mean & do, knows the dlls are the same minus their configs etc etc.) and yet I still missed this "use R...

Re: Configuring Nebula and Nebula Reverb.

Giancarlo has cleared this up. he has said on more than one post to use the Nebula Reverb for everything. Latency shouldn't be considered an issue really. Nebula is not intended to be used while tracking, it's more sensible to use it after tracking when you don't need real time zero latency anyway....

Re: Configuring Nebula and Nebula Reverb.

Wow, really? So for something like CDSM or AlexB equalizers or consoles we need to use Neb Reverb to get full quality? That could be true but it seems unlikely for something without the long decay times that reverbs have... Giancarlo, if you have a minute, could you clear this up? Is there any advan...

Re: Rhythminmind Programs Econo Mode

I´ve bought both rhythminmind libraries (nagra and studer) and they a setted in normal mode (installed as they came) so I guess that for maximum quality I should set in econo and save each preset.. am I right? Careful - what you mean is, it says ".NORMAL" with the flashing dot on the KERN page, whi...

Re: Rhythminmind Programs Econo Mode

No. If no kernels were playing, Nebula would have no effect at all on the signal. Enrique is talking about swapping kernels between the two different kernel player engines that are part of Nebula, and saying that Econo mode can only use one of them (FREQD) but not the other (TIMED), something which ...

Yes I was just wondering this recently as well.

Re: incredible 1.3.498 on the path (Core3 engine)

Or at least set it to 11, since that is relevant to the present: So many CDSM libraries load 11 kernels that it only makes sense to set it there.

It's a nice compressor with a few different characters. Not sure this is the place for that question, though. Try KVR?

Re: Multiple AU/VST plugins

OK, thanks for the response G. I hope you can get it worked out eventually.

For now I've started using Nebula inside Plogue Bidule AU, which is VST compatible, and is also nice in that it allows saving of multiple instances of Nebula as sets.

Re: Multiple AU/VST plugins

giancarlo, About the OSX multi-AU issue: Since you are hitting the 2.0 GB backup limit, since the other compiled AUs will be based on the first instance and will be otherwise identical to it, can't you simply omit those copies from your backups? Or use a backup scheme that isn't manual and which com...

Re: Mac update question

Thanks!

Does the Mac localserver version work well now, and does it currently have the RAM advantage of being able to use one loaded instance for multiple instances in the DAW, like the PC localserver version?
