Any chance of further optimizing for us poor Macsters?

Re: Question about Nebula/Nebula R & compressors.

As far as I know, Nebula Reverb and Nebula aren't intrinsically different. One can be changed into the other just by editing and saving parameters on the Master page (load time, buffer size etc.) The two versions are included as such solely for convenience's sake.

Re: Sample Rate Discussion (off of AITB Germanos EQ Thread)

Giancarlo, Would it make sense (when you have time) to implement an oversampling parameter in Nebula, such that the input signal could optionally be upsampled/processed/downsampled within the plug to take advantage of Nebula 96k patch SR, no matter what the host session SR is? If this makes sense, a...

Re: Upgraded to 1.3.465 and I lost CUDA

Just drag the AACUDABridge 3.00 MACOSX v 1.1.036 installer files into Library/Frameworks/Nebula.framework/Versions/1.0/bin again, and it works.

Looks like we should do this after each Nebula component update to get CUDA to work unless instructed otherwise.

Re: Poll: Library and project sample rate?

Also, "I let Nebula convert sample rate when I open a patch" really needs to be a choice, because I'm guessing that's what most people use. Especially for Mac AU, where NAT isn't available. That's what I use, but I definitely do "care if library matches PSR," and would be happier if everything were ...

Re: Sample Rate Discussion (off of AITB Germanos EQ Thread)

Listen for yourself. You have to hear the artifacts and then decide if this is acceptable for you. It's been like this for years and many people have made great mixes with those "erroneously" resampled programs. If you don't hear a difference, be happy and don't waste another thought on it. This pr...

Re: Sample Rate Discussion (off of AITB Germanos EQ Thread)

Don't forget our algo is aimed to fast sample rate conversion (thousands of samples, sometimes even pretty long ones). Library developers could use other tools for a proper conversion. I never compared with r8brian really. For sure our approach is very good for music, but you know, impulses are a d...

Neb quirkiness in DP 7.2.2

Thanks Giancarlo. After using Neb for a week or so (and just loving the sound), I think the category thing is not such a problem (unless there is a limit on the number of files that Nebula3 pro can read from a directory in Mac AU). More important to work on is overall stability in the AU version. I...

Re: CUDA on OSX

I am using OSX - the instructions for making duplicates are for PC. I tried by doing the obvious (to a layman) conversions. ie PC dll = OSX componant but it did not work, which is why I asked here to start with. 1. In the newly created Nebula3 Cuda.xlm change "<MAGIC> o010 </MAGIC>" to something li...
