Re: AlexB: SP79 German Mastering Console (new ver. of older

Amazing! I have spent a lot of time - months - to refurbish this console. Every single electronic component has been hand/ear selected for the right sound. I have built the different Master Busses with some electronic components by Neu-mann like Haufe transformers and broadcast filters, vintage OpAm...

Re: N4 (Nebula4) is finally out!

My thanks go out to all the early adopters of N4 who are bravely forging ahead with the new tech and helping iron out issues which mean less headaches for any future users (!) ... (and the Acustica crew of course)

Re: 33% OFF New release! The Rawstate model d

I've seen this unit @ Snap and also when it was located at a prior studio - though I never used it ! (The reason being sticking with units I 'know' for the sake of speed while the studio clock ticks).. It gave off an aura of something excellent & even just looked fabulous... rarer than rare.. (!) Th...

Re: Nebula4, new details

Yes - thank you for the info & fast reply! For me a big selling point woukd be: backwards compatibility with existing N3 libraries & Aqua, plus an enhanced engine that would (presumably) deliver boosts in the way of working (eg: speed, stability, cpu demands, scrolling/preset menu, etc - if not now,...

Re: Nebula4, new details

I'm a bit confused - will N4 be backwards compatible with N3 3rd party libraries? Or would developers have to rework / resample thier libraries to be compatible with N4?

Re: Nebula4, new details

Another beauty of SetUps ... NOT having to scroll through 30,000 Presets. Having a dedicated SetUP to a specific EQ [for example] improves workflow. Scrolling through 30k presets would make me want to jump out the window ala Dr Braino (aka John Candy) in this skit.... Too mindblowing man! https://y...

Re: Pink

Curious what Pink2 is going to entail - what changes, features etc. Will there be an upgrade path from the existing Pink?

Re: 33% off Tim P selected comps (over)and news!!

The prospect there may be 'Becca' libraries on the way is exciting....curious about the tonal characteristics of these ultra-rare devices

Re: 37J classic valve tape machine released!

I don't mean to be ignorant or rude, but Is there any reason why I'd get this if I already have R2R and tape booster + ??? Thanks There's wide variances in 'tape' depending on the electronics/build/design of the tape machine, type of tape, maintenance history, alignment, head condition, track width...
