Re: how is the development of the 'mega distortion' going?

To early. Not in beta-testing yet.
But I hope we can use it on the upcoming cab library so we can include poweramp emulation.

Fate Compressor Update (Gain Makeup)

As requested by customers we changed the Makeup slider's default behaviour. It is changed from the default range of +0dB/+25dB to: Ratio 1.5:1 -> +0dB/+12dB Ratio 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, 6:1 -> +0dB/+15dB Limiter: +0dB/+13dB This results in more precise control of gain makeup. To install the update unzip the...

Re: Optimising MAST parameters for different types of programs

So, always using a high LFREQD (say, 12000ms for reverbs, 1000ms for everything else) should be fine? I'm not sure if this parameter can have any negative side effects i.e. cpu loads or program loading times... In terms of quality there is no negative effect. When it comes to loading time: I don't ...

Re: Optimising MAST parameters for different types of programs

Well, as I understand LFREQD is just the upper limit, programs will use the FREQD specified by the developer unless it's higher than LFREQD... Yes that' right. I suggest not to limit it on the MAST page. For instance there could (and the will be ;) ) cabs around using 300ms or 500ms H1 length. This...

Re: AlexB homepage and copy protection is driving me insane

No clear winner. They both sound brilliant.
Well, IMHO there CAN be no winner.
Different sampling chain/converters, different sampling method & gain staging and most important:
Hardware doesn't sound the same.

Re: AlexB homepage and copy protection is driving me insane

EDIT: It turns out that analoginthebox will be probably be a hassle too since the download was only working for 24 hours.
Just one mouseclick and you can re-download.
I can't see your name or e-mail address on this forum, so just drop me a PM / Email, whatever you prefer.

Re: Sampling reverb offline newbie...

Hi Daniel,

it's shown in the pic above.
"Offline" tab -> Temporary Data -> Filename.

You are working offline, so don't forget to remove any additional latency you might have added. (Converter latency, DSP latency from your reverb, ...)

Re: Alex B Preamp Color Suite Pro???

Personally I don't consider the AMS products "N**e" but clones
Same here. Prefering BAE over AMS when it comes to modern 1073 versions. Different, but suits better for me.

Re: analoginthebox.com: Flex EQ Bundle available!

What's wrong with your homepage? It's perfect in my opinion: simple, easy to navigate and quick to load. Thanks. We will keep many elements of the old design but change to a navigation with a menu bar. I need the flexibility because we are adding much more products/informations and there is no way ...

Re: OwnHammer Impulses - Speaker Cabinets now available!

You can not use the "reverb" version of Nebula, that one is for processing very long kernels. IRs have fairly short kernels, and you should use the "normal" version of Nebula. If you don't care about latency you can use the Reverb version. It will save CPU usage! You could even load a Reverb in the...
