Re: Gain Staging AlexB and R2R

Is there an official gain staging guide?

Re: Increase Gain Range

Nebula is not supposed to recieve any signal hotter than 0dbfs. But this request is to make up the gain that has been lost via reduction in a previous Nebula instance. Not to overdrive Nebula. Do you really want to have to insert an extra gain plug inbetween two instances of Nebula? Why do you think...

Re: Increase Gain Range

What about those Nebula programs that use -18db as 0dbVU?

Why the particular +6db limit? What harm would it do to add another +12db gain range?

Increase Gain Range

the 6db limit is too small. We should be able to go at least 18db in either direction.

Re: 0 Latency CUDA Still Coming?

Cuda runs on Nvidia GPUs that are able to render incredibly powerful 3D graphics (polygons) with user feedback and only a split second delay. I'm asking when will we see a Cuda with similar undetectable latency instead of these massive delay penalties we get now for using Nebula Reverb over the stan...

0 Latency CUDA Still Coming?

Has there been any progress on a 0 latency CUDA powered Nebula Reverb?

Re: Is Nebula "Dead"?

Nebula is stable but the main thing we need now is CUDA support without the huge latency. That would be a revolutionary improvement.

Re: Nebula Reverb not equivalent to Realtime Nebula?

From what I recall reading ... Neither NEBULA will give identical [bit for bit] results ... even running the SAME plug twice. I read that the NEBULA engine introduces a slight 'randomness' by design. Why? Shouldn't a Nebula program be doing same thing the sampling session did? And shouldn't Nebula ...

Re: Why a 6db Boost Restriction?

We don't need such arbitrary restrictions because we are not babies.

There is simply not enough positive gain to make up for low input levels.

Nebula Reverb not equivalent to Realtime Nebula?

What is this I hear about Nebula Reverb not producing the bit identical result as Realtime Nebula?

Why a 6db Boost Restriction?

You can reduce input and output gain up to 192db.

So why can you only increace gain up to +6b?

It needs a minimum boost range of +24db and accurate integer input for precision.

+6db
+7db
+12db

etc.

I understand Nebula has a problemm with compressor curves, but it can capture EQ + Distortion nearly 100%

Re: Any Wah Pedals?

Is there anything to a wah pedal besides a straight allpass filter? Maybe a algorithim based VST will suffice.
