Nebula 4 Gain Poll

Is anyone here opposed to having version 4 increase the input gain range to match output gain range (even if it breaks backwards compatibility)?

Re: Increase Gain Range

So the skin is the only problem. Could this be fixed in Nebula 4?

Re: How do you make sure you are hitting Nebula at -18dbfs?

giancarlo wrote:it depends on the library developer. Anyway most of recent libraries and acqua plugins (for the exception of titanium) are based on EBU standard, so -18dBFS.
If you mix 0db programs (such as CDSoundmaster) with other -18db programs, what is the best way to gain stage?

Re: Gain staging and aux reverb programs

With gain staging so critical to proper Nebula useage, I cannot understand why Gain output would limited to +6db

Re: Increase Gain Range

Can we get the gain increase? Any old program would just load at its saved gain setting so there is not any backwards compatibity issue. Not being able to boost greater than 6db is just too limiting.

Re: Bass Guitar Cabinets

I'm looking for some type of overview/review of all the AMP and Cab options for Nebula.

What is it about not being able to have more than +6db gain? Its important to being able to hit the following plugin insert at a hot enough level.

Re: Nebula 4 - to be released in November 2014?

1. I/O Gain at least 24db (Now you cannot boost output higher that +6db)

2. Sample Accurate Peak Level and RMS Metering

3. Multiple programs chained in one instance.

4. A way to tap into Nvidia and AMD GPU power without the extra latency of Nebula Reverb

Re: Increase Gain Range

You want to simulate driving a desk hot, but you need to keep the output of each plugin from hitting 0dbfs.

The only way is to decrease output from the previous plug to below 0dbfs and increase input on the following plug by the same amount.

Re: What about CUDA Advancement?

I'm thinking of how well these Nvidia GPUs are able to render 3D shooters beyond 60fps without any noticable lag. Take this for example

Are we any closer to realtime latency under CUDA?
