Re: Reverb Or Non Reverb for Consoles and R2R Tape?

I don't think I've even opened the normal version of Neb. At worst, I may temporarily reduce the number of kernels in use or switch to econo mode, but any processing is always done at the highest res.

Don't worry about protecting my ID - I sincerely meant it, so feel free! ;) (Obviously there's some great chaps & chapesses on there, albeit a distinct lack of the latter, but you know the umbrella of people I'm talking about, the kind that caused Bob Katz to leave - tossers)

Re: Acustica Audio iDesk Series.. VC4K

So have the menstruating Gearslutz knobs f*cked this up with all their bitching then? They just didn't get the underlying point of demonstrating the technology - morons. Not being funny, but which neb user in their right mind would use a copy of VCC(you know what I mean)over the S*L, N**e, A*I, TLA,...

Re: Nebula server and Nebula local server

We're hoping to have a maybe three or four windows servers (64bit windows 7)running Nebula's, whilst using windows 32bit os for main daw, if possible. So yes, we will most definitely be purchasing whatever we need to do that. Literally waiting with a credit card, well, paypal :D

Bob, if you sample it, would it be possible to do a 96k version too perhaps? :)

Re: S*L Channel E-EQ Blind Test Waves v.s. CLeQ

Use the Alex B S*L hi shelf set at 1.5k on some overheads, boost however much you want, do the same with the Waves S*L and match the the gain by ear, then A/B  Also try boosting in the low mids / upper bass on a snare with the Alex B S*L lo peak, again, do the same with a Waves S*L lo peak. Re: "COOLTEC EQP-1A3S" Now Available !!!

I know I'm not 'meant' to, but I frequently use the drive slider. I just let my ears tell me what hinders or helps. And yes, the harmonics appear to be enhanced, not fabricated.

Re: consoles...Consoles...CONSOLES

Very surprised to hear so many people thinking that the consoles are almost inaudible/placebo, I can hear *very* distinct differences between them all. I've found the VBC to sound soft, rich & thick (listen to an acoustic guitar based song to really exaggerate the colouration) - with a more obviousl...

Re: "COOLTEC EQP-1A3S" Now Available !!!

This EQ honestly sounds 'better', or should I say 'more aurally appealing' than anything in my rack or computer. Seriously, wtf?! Between this, the N*****n console, PLParEQ and the W295, I have all my bases covered.

Can I interpolate an existing program?

Hi,

I'd like to interpolate boost / cut and also the frequency selection of a couple of programs I have. I know I need to use nat, but I haven't got a clue how to do it

If anyone could help, that would be great!

Thsnks,

Tobias.

Re: CDSoundMaster 1950's All-Tube Mixer/EQ Combo - GET IT NOW!!!

I mixed an Indie record yesterday from some fairly sterile, but well recorded digital multi-tracks. I used R2R Otari 15 and the Bogen console / eq's yesterday. I managed to *totally* nail the tone/sound/texture of Ocean Colour Scene's Mosely Shoals, and the band absolutely loved it. What struck me t...

Re: analoginthebox.com: Fate Compressor (N**e 2254) released!

I've been eyeing this release up for so long now, so pleased it's finally been released! I purchased it this morning & will have to wait until later to check it out. But....I work pretty much exclusively at 96k for everything, so will the ratecnv to 96k work well enough to tide me over until the 96k...
