Re: should libraries be at project sample rate?

I say no. Because many libraries are sampled at different sample rates, you can't always match them with your current sample rate. I rarely work in 96k, but when I do, I'll never be stopped from using, say, the Mammoth EQ or Fate compressor from AITB if I think the job calls for it. Regardless of th...

Re: 8x Oversampling

Not sure if this works or is even relevant, but this plugin may help those looking to oversample Nebula

Re: Bricasti M7

First: I work at 44.1khz Do 96khz for everyone. If we complicate things with different versions for different editions of Nebula, then some people who move up will have to delete the first set. This seems like a pretty big annoyance to the user, in addition to the annoyance of creating a whole diffe...

Re: S*L Console?

Why are there no "best" nebula libraries? I would think that not every 3rd party developer puts in the same amount of work and use the same quality of wires, converters, etc...? You're right about differing quality in converters, cables, etc. The counter-argument is that the developers know their g...

Re: do you use the libraries that come with nebula 3 pro?

I used to use the 4k to Heaven and Analog Channel all the time before I bought Alex's CLC. All stock programs have 3rd party equivalents that far surpass the stocks in quality IMO. One exception though: I still like using the "Do You Wanna Comp?" on my drum busses on occasion. Very thick and snappy ...

Re: S*L Console?

Couldn't tell you, I don't own it either. People saying the pre-rayphlex/TDC compressor SUCKED are being a little to liberal in their choice of wording. The dynamic portion of the programs doesn't work as intended, but you still get the tone and a working SLOW compressor. I've used the old compresso...

Re: Reverbs

I'm surprised to read this...Can you specify which Neb reverb would be a good alternative to VRoom? I'll give the Neb reverbs another stab. To reiterate: http://cdsoundmaster.com/site/cds-software-online/pp2nebaudio.html Haven't tried the VXVT verbs or the VROOM plugin so I have no opinion on that ...

Re: THE Drum Compressor - CDSoundMaster !!!

No regrets here! In fact, I'm still intimidated by the 800 programs!!! GREAT VALUE!

It sure sounds sweet though, everytime I load up an instance, I start going through them all. They all sound great, so then its a matter of personal preference to shape the sound how you see fit.

Re: S*L Console?

That's a little much. You only need one preamp in the real world. The MIC console inserts can be seen as the preamp built into the board, so it would likely go like this... 1. S*L Preamp (from the Preamp Color Suite) OR the S*L Mic Console Insert 2. EQ *(see note below) 3. Channel Compressor from 4K...

Wow, pretty obvious you haven't even looked  The Snap (S*L 4k Compressor) http://www.analoginthebox.com/product.php?id=9687 Lots of stuff here. 2 S*L Consoles (MLC and CLC), 2 S*L Eq's (MLeQ and CLeQ), 4k Dynamics, and there's some S*L in the Preamp Color Suite as well http://www.alessandrobosc...

I'm in love with the Producer Pack 2 from Michael Angel. It has some additional stuff for bass and guitar, but I haven't used them yet. The reverbs are pretty diverse and sound fantastic!

Re: When do you use Liquidity?

I wish I could give a more detailed response, but as far as I know it's always best to leave it alone to best preserve the original character of the given program
