Re: Orange Eq: the first Acqua entirely developed by Acustic

Orange is a REALLY good snare EQ IMO. Turn a few knobs, and you have instant THWACK (one of my favorites for making a thin sound into a fat one)! It can be really great on bass too. I haven't used it on a bus for a long time, but I do remember hearing someone refer to the original unit as a "poor ma...

Re: N4 Can we get a new output gain parameter?

Don't know where it is and I can't look right now, but does no one remember CDSM's Level programs? They were just gain programs for Nebula chains. Probably just what you're looking for 8-)

Re: Ebony TBR 3rd july

GC is an artist (he certainly expresses himself as one). So every new release has to be bigger and better than the last!!! This is why I love seeing G get as excited as he does when new Acquas are in development. Considering the awesome gamut of constantly great plugins that Acustica has been on si...

Re: transients

I forget the reasoning behind it, but I do remember an explanation for the transient-softening effect. This may be placebo, but I feel like I was able to increase transient detail by changing a couple values in the PEARL2.xml. Changing the PROGRATE to 100 (orig = 2000) and DSPBUFFER to 2048 (orig = ...

Check the VST folder. I thought I saw some AAX files when I downloaded A3 VST yesterday.

Re: The Best Vari Mu?

Violet has already been added to my Reaper mastering chain setup. It's incredible. I run it after 2-4dB GR on SAND (love that S*L glue). *Reopens session from last night* ... 2-4db on SandBus, going into 1-3db on Violet, going into R2R Otari 30ips over here. VERY pleasing  Really good ...

Re: The Best Vari Mu?

It's hard top say "best" in this scenario. TimP's BlueMu is fantastic, but I honestly haven't been using it as much as it deserves (I'm just quicker setting up other compressors). Cupwise's Flucti-Mew has been my first choice for a vari-mu compressor. I'm trying not to forget about the vari-mu in th...
