Re: Aquarius - new download tool

*Note that Acqua plug-ins no longer use the default folder (VST/Acustica64 or Acustica) to place all the installation files and you can safely delete the previous installation files to regain HDD space. This process has been what's keeping me from updating everything. Could you explain further poss...

Re: Aquarius - new download tool

self-updating from .32 crashed and would crash on opening for me. Downloading and running the newest .36 solved everything though 8-)

Re: Aquarius - new download tool

I've updated Diamond and have installed Lemon through Aquarius. Very nice and effortless! I tried upgrading Aquamarine yesterday... now the sidechain switch doesn't work. I've tried manually upgrading Aquamarine over the years with the same result. Am I alone on this? Also, before I go crazy updatin...

Re: Cupwise Nebula release- Chambers of Doom

Haven't tried out the new chamber, but bought it blind because I REALLY like your first chamber set. Can't wait to try it out! Sure, skins would be great, but that will NEVER deter me from buying a library. My eyes suck anyway, and the sound is what's important to me. Tim, you're one of the kings! I...

Re: L-bus released!!!

I just bought a hardware clone of this (Stam), still waiting on the shipping though (and it doesn't have a HPF sidechain). Knowing Tim's quality, I'm buying this wondering if I'll still want/need the hardware when it gets here  Did a quick test on it, and it reallllly does sound good. Can't wai...

Re: Lemon, the first "true" delay in nebula/acqua land

After playing around with the demos G just posted, I'm sold :D Lots of versatility, the tones/textures are very pleasant, and I already have a few favorite presets that I can't wait to try! I'd list out the presets that I really liked, but that was basically half of them so... How much and...

Re: What is/are closest Nebula3 emulations to Slate VCC ??

This is total threadjacking, but all I have to offer in regards to EQ harmonics is that the SPLIT-H kernel mode is at play here. I can't explain exactly what it is going on technically, but in the KERN page there is a CLASSC button in the upper right. When in CLASSC mode, the kernels appear in analy...

Re: What is/are closest Nebula3 emulations to Slate VCC ??

Who of you has actually owned an S*L? I have. Do you know where the harmonics are generated mostly? In the EQ card. Worked on, not owned... it doesn't matter concerning your point though. Your first claim was that "AlexB's stuff does 0 harmonics." I provided evidence otherwise. Your new point (whic...

Re: What is/are closest Nebula3 emulations to Slate VCC ??

Alex B's stuff does 0 harmonics, I've measured it all... Demonstrable nonsense. I have the feeling our new friend hasn't measured the 4KC CONSOLE against VCC. We can all agree EQ's and consoles are different right? Anyone else remember the fiasco with VCC's more-or-less copying AlexB's original V1 ...

Re: AQUAMARINE3 (AQ3)

Could you share some tips on how you have been setting up Aquamarine? Thanks I'm not the person you were asking, but here's what I've done many times. :geek: Set the input trim so that you're hitting between -18db and -6db on the meters (depending on how hot you want the preamp to sound). Then enga...

Re: 88hz

Have you tested to see which one SOUNDS better? The 96khz will process higher frequencies that the 44khz will not. Maybe this theoretically doesn't bother you and you just want it close enough with less CPU. This is really a subjective choice, because neither option is ideal. Sure, the math of 44 to...

Re: 88hz

I would choose 96k. If you are going to sample convert regardless, why not use the program that has higher resolution? 8-)

Re: AlexB: R88 - Rupert 88 Console (it replaces older MWC)

Also throwing in my experience that AlexB's libraries have always worked flawlessly in N4 for me.

Just threw in my order/upgrade for the console and tape libraries. I'm not sure why I never tried the console yet. Something tells me it will make me regret not getting it sooner.
