Re: Prime Studio Acqua's

I downloaded the trial to the 2254 comp and uploaded the SER file. I got an error message saying that I reached the maximum number of license requests even though I only tried to upload it once?

Re: Prime Studio Acqua's

:D we implemented a lot of new things in our acqua engine cause those plug-ins. I compared directly our compressor emulation with the compressor located on that unit and I should say it is quite matched. We improved :D I'm very happy about results. Cool :) So, would you say this Acqua has the best/...

Re: Navy (mixing pre-eq)

Thanks Frogy. A further question if I may. They way I'm currently doing this is to use the input trim to get the signal around 0VU on the meters (I don't know how accurate the meters are but I presume they are fairly accurate). I'm not really touching the input and output knobs. Can I ask how you u...

Re: Navy (mixing pre-eq)

Hi Frogy, with 'sweet spot' (in reference to mix bus, but also this can apply to trks/grps as well obviously) you're mainly referring to the input trim presumably? Yes, it seems to me that the 'input trim' and 'input' are key to getting that sound that just illuminates and refines the mix (when usi...

Re: Navy (mixing pre-eq)

Sorry, I've revised my opinion after spending another day with Navy on my mixes. It actually IS bloody good on the Mix Bus. I have now got to grips with finding the sweet spot and it is stunning when you get it right. Oh well Navy to purchase ahead of Scarlett now then, as I'm not at the mastering ...

Looks like it - I'm trying to download the Navy trial and I'm getting the same issue!

Re: Ultramarine (mid/side vintage compressor)

It seems like the UM's meters don't really work when going for a light reduction of 0-1 db: They always do a jiggly dance showing 1-3 db reduction no matter how low input and threshold are set. Has this been addressed for the release? thanks and regards Really? I'm not getting that behaviour at all...

Re: Acqua Effect plug-ins next releases (2014 - 2015)

exactly! There will be free products, expensive products, cheaper ones and so on In our offer we have homebrew beer, water, coke, nice tea and expensive old bottles of wine. Ultramarine is a Brunello di Montalcino for example. I see some other developer apparently released "rack" products at a chea...

Re: 3rd party compressors for bus and 2bus

Well, the 2254 (Alex's) is renowned as a 2bus compressor, but I also use Alex's API525 which works really well also, because unlike the hardware (which has a super fast attack and so is not so useful for 2bus duties) the Neb version has a variable attack :)
