Hi Guys, I FINALLY got round to creating an emulation preset list for all you guys who want to know what hardware is in store - particularly useful to the guys who have the all you can eat bundle. Get it here http://www.nebulapresets.com/Nebulapresets_Emulation_preset.pdf Also updated the one on the...
You're not getting out of the game are you Henry? No. Just want to stay viable. You cannot compete with free ( pirated ) so I guess dropping the price makes some sense. I did it before actually then went higher. Now - I will leave em dirt cheap. Spread the word and help a brother out! I am also wor...
Hey guys, PRICE REDUCTION. EVERYTHING NEBULA BACK TO £1 EXCEPT BUNDLES. And I MEAN EVERYTHING! Shibata. If it doesn't jive you can just ignore it. :) . My point is all about MIXING with DIFFERENT bit depths does something to the sound that subjectively may make things inferior. It is about the diffe...
Here's another thought. When we go from 24 bit to 16 bit we have to add dither right? But when you are mixing in the 64 bit engine and bounce down to 32 bit fp with an in the box render, I assume that there is no dither and there may be truncation and some errors may creep in no matter how small. Th...
If I were to pose a question it would sound like this. 'Does using multiple lower bit depth settings in a Sonar project sound inferior to using a 64 bit pipeline throughout? In my humble opinion the answer is yes. Your answer may differ but I have tested it on a full project and it made me say - umm...
Not quite. To clarify - everything is done within the DAW session. I have changed all the bit depth options to 64 bit. So I will ( from now on anyway ) mix, record, render and import any files in 64 bit 44.1 khz if I am appealing to maximum fidelity. I had bought a new fast HDD just for this project...
thanks, henry. i'm working with sonar 32-bit as well. i will give this tip a try. good luck with your album! :) Cheers Swang, If HDD space isn't an issue, give it a shot. :D. I keep shaking my head at why I never did this before. Anyway , give me a month or two and I will be back on the forums in s...
When I changed to bouncing down to 64 bit files everything just felt and sounded right and the same as when I pressed play - must be some low level issue with changing bit depth. In fact it is the single best thing I have done for my audio - in addition to using Nebula of course. So, is this bounci...
Hey guys thanks for your patience. I am in the middle of my album at the moment. Fun times as I am using my own libraries on an important project of my own for the first time. Just discovered something as far as workflow goes. I have always been unhappy with bouncing down ITB. It never sounded right...
Sorry guys but as Richie suggested now is a bad time for me as I have a deadline for said album. Anyway - yes- please update the porta pre as it had a phase issue. Not sure if I re-uploaded. One of those things that I normally do with a fix but to be sure download any updates. I am behind on many up...

Hi Guys, ;) .This is a bit of an unusual request. You may or may not be aware that I am working on my new albums and hope to be done mixing by the end of March. Have been working on it for the last few years actually in between a lot of other things like Nebula sampling and gigging. I am now down to...
