Re: Amber2 Core7 is out!

Just installed Amber2, It installed Amber2ZL whatever that is. I ran it in a project, sounds ok. Green2 is now telling me to authorize the product, I already did last month or thereabouts. Will investigate more when time permits... :( EDIT: OK looks like a good ole 32-bit memory resource issue (gues...

Re: Nebula4 Roadmap?

if you look in the nebula 4 thread support chimed in on the release topic, it seems they have`t an estimated release date at this point other than 2016 Hmmm...yes several visions, some more optimistic, based on available resources I assume, the focus on Acqua and its unpredictable release/support c...

Re: AlexB: Massive Mix eQ

According to a manual I read the mix version used either "2 x 12AX7 EH" or "2 x 5751" along with "4 x 6414" tubes. The Mastering version used "2 x 12AU7, 4 x 6414" tubes.

Just curious AlexB, what tubes did your Mix eq version use? Thanks!

PS - I have it and it sounds great and is very responsive.

Re: AlexB : Black Master eQ / Vintage Master eQ + EXPANSION

Thanks RJ for confirming. Yes, for now I'll keep both handy, maybe I'll move the BMeQ to a separate AlexB-Original nebula dll where I can put the rest of the originals that have been upgraded. I like AlexB's work also. I can't wait to throw A5M into Nebula4 an put several bands up at the same time. ...

Re: AlexB : Black Master eQ / Vintage Master eQ + EXPANSION

What upgrade replaced BMeQ (Black Mastering EQ)? I'm getting lost in the fabulous updates AlexB and need to make a list unless one is available. Using a google site search I found the Black 55xx EQ. Hmmm...this sounds familiar, I think I can answer this myself. Ah yes, It's the American 5 EQ (preset...

Re: GREEN rel J with additional frequencies out !

Strangely, the exact opposite thing happens here. When the last band is engaged there's a substantial boost in volume. Equally unusable. Same here. Just installed Green J yesterday, Win 7-32 Intel laptop, Reaper 5.03. As a workaround I installed Green2. Unfortunately Green2 won't authorize, Reaper ...

Re: NEW RELEASE Vintage Gyrator eq.

Ok, I've mixing quite a bit with this eq and I wondered if anyone thinks this would be a good idea- adding a dry control for when you want to get a sharper peak sound but without it being sounding dramatic when applied. I tried this and I think It works very well. So basically a bit like a parallel...

Re: Scarlet MHE-400 (mastering high-end homebrew eq)

I'm looking real hard at Scarlet, I tested the bottom end last night and it is very fine. Unfortunately I have an old 32-bit clunker and I'm running out of both memory and cpu cycles when I switch in more bands. I tried messing with dspbuffer (default is 1024) but I dont want to change the sound acc...

Picked this one up - nice Tim!
The input knob and Print-thru are really good sounding and fun to tweak. Will continue tweaking today even on a full mix. :)

Re: T tape preview

If anyone would ever do a library with the old Ampex/Quantegy 456 formula I'd be thrilled, I miss that tape (and the smell of it too) - to me Ampex 456 @ 15ips was the 'sound of rock n roll'... (at least during certain eras) .. the newer boutique tape formulas of some which are apparently based on ...

Re: Nebula4 Roadmap?

...Acustica's Acqua's are based on Nebula 4. So not only are they doing everything the developers are doing, they are integrating it into an entirely new engine! New engines have bugs, it happens. BUT I'm extremely glad that they let us "public beta" the Acquas. Shooting at 2 moving targets...good ...
