Re: ReelVerb-1 Cupwise FX release

Totally understand that, Cupwise! Thanks for your thorough answer. I have to wait a while before I jump on in getting this library - spent a lot the last days....!

But I'll report back if I have some useful info to share ;)

Re: ReelVerb-1 Cupwise FX release

Congrats with the release! I really like that you put up audio demos, and was astonished by the sound of the classic guitar - it sounds really nice ;)

Is it possible to use the N4 skin in Nebula 3?

Re: Some console comparisons

@ Shibata: Thanks for your audio test files! I have imported them to Reaper and did a comparison. I couldn't hear any significant difference, but the file named "Phase inverted difference.wav" was interesting to listen to. However, re-reading your post, I'm really not sure how you have tested to pro...

Re: Some console comparisons

@ RJHollins: That's interesting! I'm on the fence upgrading to N4. Perhaps if AA runs a Black November sale I'll jump on it, but it's interesting to hear your experience about the clouding thing - and also in the light of stacking several instances like one can do with LBX Stripper. Thanks for shari...

Re: Some console comparisons

@ Shibata: Hm, don't know if I really get this or if I have understood you correctly from the beginning? I thought your point was that consoles, tape, preamps etc could benefit from lowering the DSPBuffer size and also tweak the kernels to timed? But after reading your last post, it seems like your ...

Re: Some console comparisons

@ Shibata: I made a copy of my SSL4k V2 AlexB lib and changed the DSPBuffer to 128, and then I got the RTE: 2.902 ms. (I named this Shibata-SSL4k) I didn't alter the values on the kern page though, 'cause I'm not sure if I alter these presets, I reckon I alter the originals. Not sure how you manage ...

Re: Some console comparisons

@ Shibata: Thanks, I'll check it out to see if I hear any significant difference. @ Plexus: I reckon the solution to this is to use Nebula setups, so you can make individual plugins with the RTE set to 128, at least if you have Nebula Pro 3 - but it seems like there isn't support for N4 with Nebula ...

Re: Some console comparisons

@ Shibata: Will the sound differ based on what DSPbuffer you use? If yes, does this apply to consoles only or also EQs, preamps etc? Do you have some recommendations regarding DSPbuffer size for each of them? @ Plexus: Thanks for doing this! EDIT: @ Shibata: I found an interesting thread where you e...

Re: Help on a new computer, please! (My wife gave green ligh

@ jfjer: Hi, there! I started building my new PC today! However I wonder if you can help me out here: In my Asus X99-A II user guide it says: "DO NOT forget to connect BOTH of the 4-pin and 8-pin EATX12 V power plug". But in my Corsair RM750x PSU there is only the EATXPWR (24 pin connector) and the ...
