New metal track.

So far rather unprocessed. Could you please let me know how to better it - levels, frequency balance, etc.

Re: Need advice for this metal mix (R2R content)

Just need to make sure: the tape version is the first ('...1750').

What else can I do to this mix? Is it overall too distorted? Frequency balance? I think it sounds pretty okay on speakers, not so good on headphones.

I haven't heard of Vcult before. I take it it's a sampling of the Culture Vulture?

Re: Need advice for this metal mix (R2R content)

The distorted drum room is pretty over-dominant. Nice idea, but it needs to step back an inch or 2 - covers the riffing/melody. And Addictive Drums are kind of over-used and easy to recognize :D I guess that'll cure the obvious distortion a bit and it'll be alright ! It's Jamstix, not Addictive Dru...

Re: How short is a 'short plate'?

Please take into account I'm a noob. When folks talk about having a short plate on tap as a send for snares, vox and guitars, how short is that? What Nebula programs would be suitable? I don't have the factory set installed (yet), thinking maybe the VNXT 1 second program would be fine, but it's ver...

Re: If you could have only one Nebula EQ?

Thanks for mentioning the Focal Point. I'm just about to shell out for it. However, I'm trying the demo and the Q is not adjustable? Are the pre programs as nice as the EQ? Q is not adjustable, you select the program for Q rate. Might sound like its a pain, but its really not and actually genius wa...
