Re: SAND out now!

I don't understand all the complaining about no side chain for the compressor section of Sand. Setting number 7 on the routing control of Sand puts the filter and EQ into the internal side chain, so signal is EQd and filtered before it hits the compressor's detector. This is more flexible than any ...

Re: SAND out now!

i would even buy a AA standalone G comp with internal sidechain that has nothing to do with Sand if that is what it takes im i clear enough how bad i want this hehe  I agree, this is basically exactly what I asked for back when the idea of separate fab4 bits was a definite NO according to AA. ...

Re: Coral

Looks beautiful. I like the curved side lines on the edges of the singles FWIW. 8-)

Also recognize the circular offset and cutouts from... some hardware, expensive hardware.

Re: SAND out now!

no, we decided it after a long brianstorming. The only white product will be "sand". I said if you didn't want it all white, and I see why (the coloured parts match up to pre and bus) then why not just make them LOOK like the other two? that is the 'surround' part of the GUI in the dark red to stil...

Re: SAND out now!

Lol. I understand, but we decided for the other appearance because there is more cohesion among fab4 products. Maybe include both skins for those that prefer nice/tidy looking plug-ins that are a joy to look at/work with by themselves than any high concept of 'cohesion' between sub-plugs which does...

Re: SAND out now!

Hey G thanks for the reply, I do agree somewhat. It's not that I can't hear how Sand is 'better' and seems to hold up more in more cases, it's a balancing act with my system/workflow etc as usual. Sound is ultimately the deciding factor. For the BUS COMP yes I can get others to sound similar, but yo...

Re: SAND out now!

I noticed in H******* Mixbus 32 that a 12 track project that played back without issues with CPU load at 87% suddenly hangs when i try to reopen it. It does reopen after a couple of tries but i have to disable all Sand/Fab 4 instances, then re-enable them to get it to playback without crackles and ...

Re: SAND out now!

Another quick test. Same as above (88/2048) This time a more sensible/realistic 8+mixbus instances of EQU4 (2 bands enabled no filters) BUS4 (insane mode comp A) So 9 of each. Was showing around 50% cpu in studio one. Closed and reloaded. This time it took 2.5 minutes to load the "empty" project (wi...

Re: SAND out now!

We'll try to reproduce it... Thank You Giancarlo!! I'm on Studio one V3. I have an older system (that's almost ok for everything but Acqua sadly - I seriously need to upgrade but was holding out for skylake X but may need to bite that broadwell E bullet soon). Anyway I tested an empty project with ...

We'll add them.
You mean you'll also fix it (button midi map control) for older plugs (inc sand) in updates or just in future plugs?

Knobs will work for me in S1 (mapped to novation remote zero), but you can't map to any buttons afaik (always been the case with neb/acqua was told)

Re: SAND out now!

When you guys have finished fixing bugs etc are you just going to upload one - new and final - file (+ the SINGLE FAB 4 and 48/88 upgrade files) as the 'finished product' because it's getting pretty confusing knowing which update we are up to or what we already have or what order to install in etc! ...

Re: SAND out now!

Looking at the new 'red' EQ4 screenshot, so you never swapped the low/high eq bands to the "correct" (logical) positions (that also match main sand) afterall? Nor the Filters? hmmm. :? EDIT > just loaded the new demo, no you didn't swap the positions? very strange... even more so as it's in direct c...
