Re: Blue 1102 eq v2

It's really lots of small advancements that make a bigger difference- -harmonics don't spike( that sharp tone) -No noise above nyquist -improved phase -conversion filtering is custom -harmonics are aligned in sync when big low end ringing occurs -The added distortion instance derived from transfer c...

Re: Blue 1102 eq v2

Thanks, I've actually just updated the dist. I will send emails out, the saturation has been shifted slightly, which supports the transformer sound more. It was actually a little to high. Basically you'll push it a bit harder to saturate the highs and lows more. I'll try get some clips up soon. Edit...

Re: Blue 1102 eq v2

thanks, the distorter is simulated from the unit. Though really this is hard clipping which would be similar on many devices but it this case with emphasis distorting the lows first (transformer) I basically tweaked it to function this way I'll will post some examples soon. Sorry been a bit busy lat...

Re: Timp news

Ok,

so I've just started a template for a new comp. This will be the oldest comp's I have ever done and perhaps one of the rarest. Sounding amazing for leveling!

I'll post more info in the next few weeks!

Hi Tim, any chance of any audio demos please? Say on a clean drum loop or something to show distortion and EQ examples?
Cheers!
I'll put something up for sure

Re: L-bus released!!!

Well It's showing the kernals are producing low frequency Harmonics yes to get more detail in the 10-20hz region we need to have a kernal length of at least 100ms (100ms is roughly 10hz) but if it rings lots we must go higher, if you pull down the drive you should see it change. Note that In general...

Re: L-bus released!!!

Its saturation from the kernals in the lows. This is why it will offset, in other words a even harmonic. I will look again but I think it should be more accurate

Just made a little update to this on the high shelf that improves the phase on a couple settings, It's very subtle but worth downloading.

Re: L-bus released!!!

my comps aren't affected that much by changing it, except change the speed of meters. Best just keep it at 1024 or 512 in general.

Remember you need bigger buffers for longer kernals like reverbs etc , not only does it lower cpu but can stop truncating the tails.

The comp is THAT chip

Re: Updated Blu-mu v2 100a v3!!!

Hi Tim... or anyone that can answer... Little confused on the Line Pre / Line Comp usage with the Sum 100a V3 As I understand it... the line Pre, can be used to get that "roll off" sound without using compression... you can also use this to increase saturation... right? The Line-Comp has a differen...
