Re: Treble and bass eq/power expansion v2 distorter

Tim, I am assuming this power expansion can be used after any guitar pre software, clean or dirty, like your color pre, etc? Thanks!

Re: 37J classic valve tape machine released!

Run pre-emph and follow with de-emph with the 37J. Amazing!! I freeze these and go about the other plugins for mix.

Re: Nebula Engine 1.4.190

There shouldn't be any difference between N3 and N4 as far as CPU load. I have an old (2008) Mac Pro and there was no difference. Maybe even better with N4. But, everything changed when I went to Reaper DAW before N4. Much more efficient than PT. More N3 and N4 instances, for sure! You'll get it eit...

Re: SAND out now!

I would like to know why Sand uses less processing power than some of the Aquas when used as individual plugins. Only 1% / instance on my old mac (the eq w/2 instances). Amethyst needs much more, for example. Cool.

Re: Crimson is out! The first Dreamware Dynamic Overdrive

Try this in bass. Comp input trim counterclockwise for smooth distortion/clockwise for gritty but oh so sweet! Nice and welcome departure in a new, innovative product!!!

Re: Higher FX count in Reaper

The most apparent is the top box. Oddly, changing the core count from 8 to 16 lowers the CPU about another 1/2 % /channel. Before I made these 3 changes, one channel had 8+% CPU and after the change, hovered around 4.6%. So, it does make a difference. This is on a late 2008 Mac Pro 2 x 2.8 gig proce...

Higher FX count in Reaper

If you use the Reaper DAW, go into its Preference file under Buffer and make these 3 changes. I'm getting 20% more CPU use (12-13 active PINK plugins instead of stuttering with 10).

Un-ck top box

Next line, Auto reading, enter 16

Thread Priority, enter Time critical

That's it!

Enjoy.

Re: Nebula Engine 1.4.190

A little off topic, but, wanted to thank Acustica for the new core engines. 2008 Mac Pro, 2x2.8 gig process/8 gig ram w/ Nebula4. Can use Sand Eq loaded with T. Petheric 2065 filter and a few other non-Nebula plugs / channel with Cpu @ 3.75% / channel. I think that's pretty darn good!
