Re: How many instances of Nebula in 96K?

I just drooled on my keyboard...
The drooling still didn't fix my problem though. :). Might have to create a ticket. Might upgrade first.

Re: How many instances of Nebula in 96K?

Should I build another computer for working in 96K?
I have a Quad Core 3.6 Ghz, 8gbs of ram. 500 SSD. 1TB 7200rpm for stored Audio/Data.
I only need to run 8-10 instances max. Should my specs be able to handle this?
Thanks guys!

Re: How many instances of Nebula in 96K?

I use 8.5. I do loop recording a lot on vocals. My computer is in on room and my vocal booth is in another so I like to do about 10 good vocal takes.
I heard the new Sonar versions record them off time, so I didn't bother with it yet.
Maybe I'll try the upgrade for both Sonar and Nebula. :)

Re: How many instances of Nebula in 96K?

I appreciate you trying to help though. :)
Is it worth updating Nebula now since Nebula 4 is on the horizon?
How is Sonar X3 btw?

Re: How many instances of Nebula in 96K?

Ok, so here is my problem. When I'm working in 96k and I change the DSpbuffer to 2048, I can get about 7-9 instances of Nebula running well. Seems correct right? (Quad Core 3.4ghz, 8gbs of ram) Well, I can't seem to get a CLEAN bounce down in 96k. Even if I have ONLY ONE instance of nebula running....

Jordi wrote:Besides crank up the buffer and daw nebula, it is appropriate to change the number of kernels ?? And we have to modify some parameter over the master page to be able to mix with the maximum nebula instances??

Thanks
Those are some REALLY good questions. I would love to read some answers to them.

Re: How many instances of Nebula in 96K?

I changed the buffer rate in the MAST page from 512 to 2048.
I can get at least 16 instances running in 96K.
Is there any harm, loss of quality, or anything negative in changing it to 2048?
Thanks

Best way to monitor gain reduction when using Nebula?

Hi,
What is the best way to monitor GR (Gain Reduction)
when using a Nebula Compressor?
It's easy with VST plugins because most of them have it on the plugin. I heard not to go by Nebula's GR meter?
Any help and advice would be great!
Thanks

-18db in Nebula? Is this a Magic number?

OK, so I have been reading more and more on Nebula everyday. Can someone please explain to me the deal with making sure Nebula is hitting around -18db? How do I Monitor this? Within Nebula? Where at am I looking for -18db? Also, I adjust the level using a trim/gain tool or my DAW's trim/gain on each...

Re: Mono-L and Stereo button

Cool. So is it best to just keep everything at STEREO (Mono-L mode) Or should I switch when working with Mono tracks? Will there be a difference in audio quality?
Obviously, I would have to keep it at STEREO for the R2R.

Re: Mono-L and Stereo button

Nope. No problem with any other libraries. AlexB's and CDSM Booster + works fine. I soloed each one and bounced a short clip to stereo with each one enabled...CDSM's R2R is the one that doesn't bounce down to full stereo. Now, when I have STEREO showing (Mono-L Mode) on R2R it bounces fine to stereo...

Re: Mono-L and Stereo button

It's kind of hard to hear if its working in stereo or just as mono...All I know is when I bounce the stereo track to another stereo track its just coming out on the left side.
Any ideas or anything I should be looking at?
