retroreel - new album 'In This Space Alone' - 95% acustica mixed

https://www.reverbnation.com/retroreel/ ... pace-alone

Have a listen to the lead track from my new album. This was mixed and mastered (at -14b) using 95% acustica plug-ins.

Any feedback appreciated.

Re: Acustica is pleased to release PINK2 suite, the dawn of CORE12!

Yes, the 2412 is the star of the show for me. Simply stunning weight and control. Along with the 780 EQ it is now sitting magnificently (she says) - sorry, watched Elbow at the o2 last night - on my drum bus. Just one slight typo to point out - on the 780 EQ the +12 and -12 are reversed. Thank you s...

Re: Ruby - Dw Fearn VT-5 equalizer TBR 26 Jan 2018

I have been comparing closely with Cobalt. I can achieve similar results, but even though they are both vacuum tube devices, Cobalt is definitely harsher in HF gain in my opinion. Ruby's strength is butter smooth HF and really deep, smooth and solid LF control. It also has a more elegant/classy pres...

Re: OUT!! Lemon, the first "true" delay in nebula/acqua land

I like them but I am more impressed by the revox a700 sound. I mean using 100% wet sound. I will have to try it some more times to be sure, but it may be one of the best tape sounds ITB. Do you consider it can be used like tape emu? I will do it of course but I would like to know if you(the develop...

Re: Ebony is out!

Even though this is the very first Acqua Reverb ever developed ... this unit sounds beautiful. Lush, full, ..... and transparent. Exactly what I'd expect from the high-end studios I worked back in my mixing days You see I don't think it does sound lush and full, not on the full Ebony anyway. (I've ...

When is the Ebony reverb update going to be available? Seems to have been in beta for over a week now. Are there still issues?

Thought Cobalt was already doing 'expansion' when an eq1 band was above 0 and Dyn button engaged? How does Ebony's dynamic section differ then?

Really like the new English GUI. Only problem guys - the output and reduction meter labelling is reversed :? So not really usable at the mo.

Edit: This is on the Strip version. Should have said. Ticket submitted.

Re: N4 (Nebula4) is finally out!

Really sorry guys, but the MacOS AU trial library does not generate a .SER file. I open Nebula4 Free, then from the finder open 'Rose', or 'YROY' compressors to generate the .SER as suggested. However, when I go to Component folder all I see are the N4 component and XML files..... No N4.SER. No worr...

Re: Coral - mastering channel strip

Frogy, how can a compressor that takes your music to a new level not be worth it? It's ok not to like the eq (I think you're in the minority so do reconsider...) but even if it's bad just get the f****** compressor dude! AA have said they won't sell separates on this one. Yes, you do have a point!!...

Re: Coral - mastering channel strip

Oh, so torn here. The compressor is very, very good, *almost* worth the admission price alone. The pre's are also the best so far, BUT, I just can't gel with the EQ. It just doesn't do anything as well, or better than what I already have. It is strangely 'anaemic' imho. All in all I can't justify th...
