Re: 100a v4

Hi Tim, Thanks for the update! Its sounds great, but I do have a question though. I understand that there is one version for both 88 and 96K sample rate, and one for 44 and 48K. If I work in 48K, load the 44-48K version and click on the edit button until I get in N4's edit page I see that the 44.100...

Re: S-609A BusCom+Limiter HUGE UPDATE (formerly Smooth609)

Great update! The new version sounds much tighter and less mushy in the bass. I never had the privilige of using teh hardware, but (for what it's worth) to me this has an accurate analog like feel. Skin is nice yoo.

Thank you Tim!

Re: N4 VST3 and Cubase 9.5.40 x64 issue.

Dear Zabukowski, Thanks for your fast reply! I did know that N4 VST3 & VST2 exclude each other since I installed the VST3 version when it came out. It would however be nice if you would be able to do something about that - as your answer indicates might be possible - because it would help me migrate...

Re: N4 VST3 and Cubase 9.5.40 x64 issue.

I have the same issue. N4 VST3 disappears in Cubase 9.5.40 x64 after updating from 9.5.35. All other VST3 plug ins are fine after the update, but N4 is gone. I don't had the VST2 version installed, but when removes the VST3 version temporarily and installed the VST2 version it showed up flawlessly. ...

Re: N4 finally available in Aquarius

Hi JRMusic! Like you I do hear a difference between the 32 bit and the new 64 bit engine of Cubase 9.5, and like you I was surprised that I did so even in projects where non of the plug-ins I used could handle 64 bit double-precision, so the processing through these plug-ins was 32 bits. I doubted m...

Re: N4 finally available in Aquarius

Oops  N4 VST3 is not recognized as 64 bit double precision by Cubase. I hear a difference - true it is very small - between projects in which I use the new 64 bit engine and in project where I only used the 32 bit engine, but that can't be the result of using N4 VST3... I found out that Cubase...

Re: N4 finally available in Aquarius

You’re right RJHollins. There is no audible difference between N4 VST3 and N4 VST2 in its self, but there is a difference in the way Cubase 9.5 handles VST3 plug-ins that one can definitely hear. Since version 9.5 Cubase processes VST3 plug-ins with its new 64 bit engine while VST2 plug-ins are stil...

Re: N4 finally available in Aquarius

Great! So you have a solution. I understand however that it will take time to switch to a new JUCE version. I do hope it will happen soon. Could you give an indication as to when you plan to upgrade the framework? I won't pin you down on it... :D

Re: N4 finally available in Aquarius

Thanks! I looked at your video. What happens there is that Nuendo writes a series of jumps - not a single line. If you don't record the automation but try and write it by hand by putting two points with different values at some distance from each other in the automation lane (say one at a slow attac...

Thanks for investigating this further. I understand your problem. It is hard to solve something if you can't replicate it... I'd be glad to help if there is a way i which I could do so...

Re: N4 finally available in Aquarius

Hi Zabukowski! Thanks for you answer. Sadly my problem with the VST3 version of N4 in Cubase 9.5 is not specific to the programs I mentioned (CadPan & N14). None of the programs I have can be automated in the right way - with ramp lines. All of them are limited to jump. It does not matter if I load ...
