Re: New Pro Tools 10 user... RTAS Nebula version?

Didn't care for Reaper... Everybody around me (LA) uses Pro Tools. Hard to exchange Sonar files in writing sessions. Only cost $277... student eligible. May have made a mistake but oh well

New Pro Tools 10 user... RTAS Nebula version?

Hi,

Just purchased Pro Tools 10 for my Windows 7 64-bit computer. That was before I realized Nebula doesn't offer an RTAS version for the PC!

Any chance an RTAS or AAX version will be developed in the future?

Re: Nebula load times: Faster with a Solid State Drive (SSD)?

Thanks... yeah I would have to use the SSD as a Windows 7 OS drive and place the Nebula files on it. Not the best of circumstances but maybe better than what I have now.

Nebula load times: Faster with a Solid State Drive (SSD)?

I bought a console library and now I'm using about 30 instances of Nebula3 Pro. I'm wondering if anyone using an SSD drive could offer information on improved Nebula load times over their previous conventional drive?

Thanks

Re: Workflow question for more realtime mixing

A little late here... does anyone know if you can migrate Sonar projects into Reaper?

Re: Which console for me?

For that description: MWC or MLC (I'd go with the MLC but I'm not sure if that'd be "too subtle/modern"). Thanks.. I'll keep using the free TFT-demo for now. Alex's listening room samples didn't encourage a decision for me, and I don't wanna waste $70 on what would probably not add much to my exist...

Re: Which console for me?

[quote="jesse.nemitz"] Hey great post... thanks for that. Will probably have to stick with one console for the time being. You're right, these are organic components I'm mixing. Never thought about that. I haven't gotten into compressors yet.. maybe the "glue" effect is already present with the NAG ...

Which console for me?

I was impressed with the TFT-PRO console demo from AlexB. Really enhanced my material, especially on the mix buss and master sections. That being said, I'm sold on consoles. Question is, what to buy? I currently own the Mammoth & Doc Fear EQs, and the NAG Tape program. The music probably falls into ...

Re: Nebula 3 Pro in an x64 Win7/DAW environment???

Thank you for your responses. Ironically with my system (i7920/6GB), my CPU barely reaches 12% using all 8 cores. It's the load times that are discouraging. I'm hoping the x64 optimized Pro upgrade will at least show improvement there, and maybe improve the overall feel of the product (like Kontakt ...

Nebula 3 Pro in an x64 Win7/DAW environment???

I need some input from users running Win7 x64 with an x64 DAW. My experience with Nebula 3 (x32) has been a bit of a letdown since testing the Nebula Free x64 product. I'm wondering if I can expect noticeable load time and latency improvements using Nebula 3 Pro x64 within a total 64 bit environment...

Sorry but I need to contact him about a library I ordered but haven't received yet.
